Lots of great information and nice local gifts. You get to touch the animal displays, and there are lovely flowers in the summer.

The young guy there was very helpful. He was able to tell us what to visit and where to eat. We went with his suggestions and had a great visit.

The shop is very enticing, and the small museum definitely worth your time! BEST PERK IN YK - the FREE PARKING pass from the Visitors Centre,... More

Went in to ask about art galleries in town - staff knew nothing about art galleries (even though there was one two blocks way). The staff there only know to hand you a brochure - you will find more out yourself on line.

Great visitors centre. Pet friendly. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They helped set up my family with a load of things to do and places to visit when they came to visit me in Yellowknife. Great exhibits and wonderful selection of things to buy in the gift shop. Free YK pin too!

The people of Yellowknife in general are very friendly and accommodating. The people working at the visitor centre are great examples of that.
