We took the Simpson Air Fly-in trip for our family and it was one of our favorites on our two month vacation. We actually planned our trip around this flight to make sure we worked it into our driving schedule. This was truly the experience of a lifetime and the drive to get there was completely worth it! I have... More

It wasn't really in our plan when we visited Fort Simpson, but after talking to some airlines that provide tours we got a discount with Simpson Air (there were only 2 of us and it was the end of the season). This tour lands us at Virginia Falls, does a flyby of the Nahanni and Ram Plateaus and then lands... More

A new experience to see a National Park by plane. The charter flight was very small and old, 4 passenger and 1 pilot. The view is gorgeous. This national park only open for few months in summer.

Nahanni Falls - a natural attraction far beyond any common imagination. The flight from Yellowknife is impressive too, especially during the time of dangerous fall winds. It's a travel adventure worth to spend some time and money.

If you love the outdoors, you have to make a trip to Nahanni National Park NWT your priority. It's the size of Switzerland- 30,000 square km and fewer than a thousand people a year visit- that's like Algonquin on a Saturday by noon! You have many options depending on your time limits. Germans, Finns and other Europeans frequently camp/river raft... More

This is one of the best, most amazing Canadian parks with stunning topography, geology, water falls, canyons, etc. The river is relatively easy to canoe because it is always moving quite quickly. Went in early August and almost no bugs to worry about. Lots of day light up to 11pm. Nice side hikes and side creeks. To be frank, the... More

If you want to see Nahanni National Park this is the way to do it. This was such an awe-inspiring experience!!! We took off from the Mackenzie River float dock in Fort Simpson, NWT in a Cessna 206 on floats. The pilot was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. The plane seats the pilot plus 4 passengers. In the distance we could... More
