Great views of St. Johns all the way around the glass building. Small museum with a large amount of history to read. The Art Gallery had more modern pieces. Really nice food at the restaurant on the top floor overlooking the harbour. More

The Rooms is beautiful inside and out. The view of town is awesome on a clear day, but even on a cloudy day it's worth the visit. There are many interesting exhibits, and the building itself is spectacular. More

The building in itself is probably the most aesthetic and exciting part of this tour....which means yes it is very poor entertainment. We went to an exhibit of early weaponry.....there is a part of the rooms that is permanent - Newfoundland history and wildlife, etc. - this was decent and informative as small as it was....the weaponry however was basically... Well worth seeing. The building is magnificent and there was an excellent resturant on site. Lots to look at, many different displays and artworks. More

It's a museum, art gallery and restaurant. Not sure it does any of these really well. Of course, everything depends on the exhibits available, but the permanent collection provides a passable history of the area. However, when I was there, there was a "Titanic Artifacts" exhibit that ended up being (literally) 6 items in a room the size of a... More

The design of the Rooms didn't leave much room to display anything but for views of the city's landscape the vantage points are unsurpassed. You won't see too much art simply because they didn't leave much room to display it but you should check out whatever they've managed to squeeze in while taking in "The Views". If you can sit... Beautifully designed building. The display of artworks , photographs , and 3 D displays captures the best of NFLD. A must see. The retaurant gives you a panoramic view of the city.. Breahttaking More

We spent a rainy afternoon at this impressive Museum /Art Gallery called "The Rooms" in St John's. There were interesting and informative displays to wander around on 3 levels and courteous and helpful staff. There is also a very nice restaurant with very tempting menu but the real attraction is the lovely modern building itself. With the wonderful sweeping views... More
