The Friday Night Kitchen Party at the Brewery is so much fun. The singers and songs of Newfoundland make you wish you could stay forever! Mallard Cottage is a must for brunch or dinner. Food is prepared with a unique flair and fresh ingredients from their garden. The craft center is filled with one of a kind pieces created by... More

Easy to walk around this tiny village on the edge of St Johns--a great place for pictures of boat houses, boat and water---and don't miss the brewery

When I'm in St.John's in temperate months I always take a walk through the narrow streets leading through The Battery on the harbour side of Signal Hill. It leads to the headlands at the mouth of the harbour with Signal Hill and Cabot Tower "towering" above. Climb the steep stairs to the top and head over the trails to Quidi... More

Great visit for the afternoon. Iceberg beer is by far their finest. Cool history throughout the building. Take the tour but phone ahead as the hours posted are not always operated.

Old, very picturesque fishing town. A micro mall with better than average craft shops. Quidi Vidi micro brewery worth a visit; tasting tour ($) not bad although beers sampled were nothing great but you'll get an idea of which one(s) you liked as it seemed it was the only "local" beer in NF. If you take a picnic lunch and... More

Went here while on conference in St john's . Beautiful little fishing village , scenic and has it's own brewery. Apparently there was an iceberg that blocked the entrance to the harbor at one time so the people were unable to get in or out until it moved along , definitely recommend you check it out when you are there

This pace was a short drive from Hotel. Lovely place to visit on it own. Has a little inlet from the sea with fishing stages and its own brewery.

We hiked down from Signal Hill and ended up in this quaint and patchwork area, the battery. A neat way to end the hike. Fascinating variation of housing squeezed into the steep cliff sides.
