Thoroughly enjoyed walking through the zoo on a winter afternoon. There were few people about and the day was sunny and cool. Very enjoyable!

This is a good place to spend an afternoon with your kids. There is a good variety of animals. Wear comfortable shoes because there is fair amount of walking. They also have a nice trail that shows replicas of animals that are now extinct. Very interesting. Last time we were there it looked like the grounds could use some maintenance...

we took our grand kids this summer, and it was interesting for them to see all the animals that they have. the Zoo is struggling financially so with more funds it might give it the extra zip it needs
The kids loved the monkeys. Staff were helpful. Our children are both 8 years old and they enjoyed their time at the zoo. Running from each exhibit of animals. We all had a great time.
interesting for the kids, but not a heck of a lot to offer a sophisticate. hum-drum animal collection. struggling with their budget. spend about an hour, go and elsewhere for a beer.
I am born and raised in Saint John but have traveled extensively. I visited the zoo last year with my wife and grand daughter and was shocked to see the sad state of the zoo. This isn't a big glitzy city zoo, it's low tech and easy to see quickly. Animals seem well cared for, not a huge exotic selection but great for kids who have never seen wild animals before
It was nice, very simplistic and not many animals. It's run by donations from what I understand. We enjoyed it though. :)
The one and only time I went there, which was about 38 years ago, the fence was very loose around the lions. The lions charged at this fence and it moved a great deal. My son was about 2 at the time, in a stroller. It scared us so bad we never went back.
Zoo is very small. There are no new animals to see. If more support was given, the zoo might have grown, but feel it will fade as not being expanded. It has to compete with Moncton Zoo.
