My family and friends attended the "Christmas" show on Nov 30th and left very disappointed! Other than a few Christmas songs thrown in with Queen and Fleetwood Mac, this show had noting to do with Christmas at all. It was very long with very bad acting. The meal was cold and the portion size was small, especially the tiny sized... More

My wife and I moved from the greater Toronto area to Saint John a little over a month ago, and since then we’ve tried to absorb as much of the local culture and cuisine as our minds (and tummies) can handle. Last night we spent a very enjoyable evening at the Phoenix dinner theatre. First and foremost, it’s a great... More

I typically would give a higher rating as my husband and I have gone to the Christmas and have enjoyed the theatre year over year. However this year it wasn't as good for us. As usual we invited our friends for this treat and reserved our seats months in advance with credit card and a request that we get seats... More

The show was kind of fun, but because of the show it did take a long time for dinner to be served (the actors are also the waiters and waitresses). The food was on par with most other restaurants in town. This was a company party that was paid for. I'm not sure if I'd go if I had to... More

The theatre is in one of the oldest buildings in the area that survived the Great Fire. It was previously a church and still has many original features such as an amazing old organ. When you arrive you go to the basement of the building where coatcheck and a bar sits. It is very chilly down there in the winter.... More

The shows are simple, musical and fun. The entertainers represent a broud gammit of skill levels, but I always have fun there. The meal is mediocre generally, but the entertainment is fun. Best to order a bucket of beer at a time, to keep you supplied throughout each act.

Fun time, entertaining shows, and great food! It is a silly show as opposed to a serious venue. Cash bar with some nice drinks. Always a great time.

We've been to the Phoenix at least 5 times and it's always a laugh riot. The food is excellent, the servers are fun, and the entertainment keeps you laughing and clapping all night long. It's not a cheap night out ($44.95 + tax and tips), but it's a great treat a couple of times a year - especially Christmas time!
