It is always nice to see how hard these people have worked and the magic that they put together. I have seen sets where the stage is barely decorated, and other times where what you see makes your jaws drop. It really is a nice experience, but I must admit that for myself, it is a bit too long of... More

If you're in Winnipeg - worth the visit; take in a show or Ballet in the Park in late July. Talented and professional staff.

During my visit to Winnipeg, I wanted to do as many "quintessential" things as possible - and the RWB was top of the list. I splurged for a top-priced seat ($103), but I'm sure that I would have been happy with a seat farther back (next time), because it's not like the Centennial Concert Hall is a hockey arena. I... My daughter and I attend RWB's production of The Nutcracker every Christmas for her birthday. I think we enjoy it more each year, it never gets old!

I recently saw the Royal Winnipeg Ballet perform "Romeo and Juliet" to Sergei Prokofiev's masterpiece based upon the magnificent tragedy of 1597 by William Shakespeare. In case you are not familiar with Prokofiev`s music, pop on over to the you tube and paste in this link for a taste of what I am talking about - http://youtu.be/bBsKplb2E6Q (approx. five minutes... The RWB does a spectacular job of The Nutcracker. The dancing is captivating, the costumes & sets are gorgeous, the music riveting. There is not a bad seat there so it doesn't matter which price range of seat you get. Waiting for the ballet to start there was someone playing piano in the second floor reception area and they had... More

I went to see the Nutcracker. A wonderful gift from my Mom for Christmas! I loved it. The dancers were spectacular. I had also seen Dracula and Cinderella a few years ago and was just as impressed. I watched with wide-eyed enthusiasm as the young ladies danced en point and the you men leaped high into the air. Take a... More

I've gone to a few shows and loved every minute! The dancing is beautiful, the music is fantastic, and you can get some decently priced seats.

I only had one night available in Winnipeg and by good fortune chose what was the first night of RWB production of The Handmaid’s Tale. The production and performance was very good with Amanda Green outstanding. It is the only time I’ve seen this companies work but from this performance I’m confident enough to recommend it to anyone. The performance... More
