I am a native born Winipegger and grew up in Assiniboine Park as a fun place. My daughter and her boyfriend came to visit from Victoria, and we went to the Duck Pond last night for nostalgia reasons. WHAT POND??? It is a stinky garbage filled swamp, and we could not stay due to the millions of mosquitoes trying to... More

This is an amazing park. We found it when we went through our tour information and decided this would be a great place for a picnic. There is also a bus that will take you around to different places in the park for free. The flower gardens and the sculptures were outstanding. We will come back on our next visit.... More

One of the best places in Canada. Just relax. Throw a ball. Go for a bike ride. Beautiful grounds and many walking and riding paths. Pretty trees. Excellent zoo, very good value. The snack house was tasty too. The kids and adults all had a great day. Compared to most cities, this was very reasonable. We will be back.

Great tourist attraction for the kids and adults. A huge park, which included lots of walking paths, duck ponds, an awesome massive kids play area (with ruberized floor membrane to prevent injuries) & water feature, English gardens, indoor arboretum, operating steam train, sports fields, and large stage where free concerts are held. Also, just a short walk over a bridge... More

The original planners of this lovely oasis started with the concept of Central Park in New York. There is an amazing Polar Bear exhibit, like no other than Hudson Bay itself. There are gardens and sculpture, art galleries, and a conservatory with tropical birds and creatures. There is a duck pond, and on a day when the sun shines, which... More

This is a hard park to imitate and I have looked! It has everything - a zoo, a train for the kids, lots of green space, the English Garden, Leo Mol sculpture garden, ducks and geese lazing in a brand new really nice pond area, a great area for musical and Shakespeare performances, a couple of good restaurants - I... The park is a wonderful place to add to your list of things to do in Winnipeg!!! It is a beautiful green space with lots of room to roam. While there a must is to visit the new Journey to Churchill as it is a unique experience not to be missed!!
