The new Polar Bear exhibit is worth the price of admission by itself. Seeing them up close they are majestic. Plan on more than 6 hrs to see the whole zoo. Worth the visit.

Just returned from Winnipeg, and I have to say that this zoo was one of the best highlights of our time spent there. The special exhibit of wolves was spectacular. If you can get there before it moves on, it is a must see. The tigers were beautiful, and the lions impressive...as healthy looking and as close up as we... More

The zoo has had loads of improvements made and it is well worth the visit. There are animals from around the world. You can sit and watch them or even walk under the polar bears as they have their afternoon swim. Great place for families and the kids love the gift shop.

The new polar bear cubs are a great addition to the adult polar bears, which you can watch while eating at the zoo's surprisingly tasty cafe. The zoo volunteers are amazingly willing to tell you all about what you want to see at the zoo, which reflects the general friendliness of Winnipeg. We even got to see a fruit bat... More

great place for a warm summer day. Lots of space and things for kids. Best place in Winnipeg for a picnic or just lazing around outside.

On August 12, 2014 my wife, daughter and granddaughter attended at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. We were fortunate to see the polar bears swimming in their new enclosure. There is a plexiglass tunnel where you can stand and see the bears in the water right overhead. It is an awesome experience to be so close to these animals! A little... More
