Great tourist attraction for the kids and adults. A huge park, which included lots of walking paths, duck ponds, an awesome massive kids play area (with ruberized floor membrane to prevent injuries) & water feature, English gardens, indoor arboretum, operating steam train, sports fields, and large stage where free concerts are held. Also, just a short walk over a bridge... More

The original planners of this lovely oasis started with the concept of Central Park in New York. There is an amazing Polar Bear exhibit, like no other than Hudson Bay itself. There are gardens and sculpture, art galleries, and a conservatory with tropical birds and creatures. There is a duck pond, and on a day when the sun shines, which... More

This is a hard park to imitate and I have looked! It has everything - a zoo, a train for the kids, lots of green space, the English Garden, Leo Mol sculpture garden, ducks and geese lazing in a brand new really nice pond area, a great area for musical and Shakespeare performances, a couple of good restaurants - I... The park is a wonderful place to add to your list of things to do in Winnipeg!!! It is a beautiful green space with lots of room to roam. While there a must is to visit the new Journey to Churchill as it is a unique experience not to be missed!!

Assiniboine Park has long been a favourite spot to visit in Winnipeg. There is a variety of things to do and see. (Conservatory, Duck Ponds, Flower Gardens, all of the animals in the Zoo, etc) It covers about 4 1/2 square Kilometers. We decided to take our Granddaughters to see the new Journey to Churchill polar bear exhibit. This new... More

In one word - the Best. Been to parks all over the world - this rates right up there. Go to the Zoo, hang out on the grass or just go for a walk in the garden.

Loved the park - I'm a photographer by profession and as a hobby and I love Leo Mol Garden and the Formal gardens. I love how they are open and free to the public. The duck pond is relaxing and the new big weird restaurant by the pond is good too. Always full. I was there for two days this... More
