A great park when I was young and still a favourite. Beautiful flower conservatory. Lots of green space and family picnic areas. The zoo is also located there for a fee. The Leo Mol sculptures are a must to see and the beautiful flower park. Don't forget the duck pond. Restaurants are also located in the park with a great... More

This park is so massive, you need a couple of days to really see it all. The zoo is pretty decent. I especially liked how close you could get to the big cats (behind plexiglass). The sculpture garden is stunning and would be a magical location for a picnic. The children's playground made me wish I had brought my grandchildren,... More

This park is awesome! I wish we had a park like this near where I live. The kids area is amazing and through out the park you will find all kinds of great statues. The Pooh Gallery and Art Gallery are also not to be missed during your visit. There is a restaurant in the park that looks like it... More

See my review under Assiniboine Park Zoo. The Assiniboine Park offers more than the zoo such as the Conservatory, English Gardens, Leo Mol scuplture garden & museum, the Nature Playground, duck pond, and Lyric theatre. The Park is FREE. There is no admission for any of those attractions, except the Zoo.

This is a review specifically for the zoo, not the part as a whole. For the outrageous new price of $20/person the zoo has managed to become even more embarrassing than it was prior to the Churchill addition. So many empty cages. Generators, pipes, etc. just laying around. Some of our favorite things that were there (and free) have conveniently... More

I found the new and improved Winnipeg Zoo a disappointment. The park is beautiful but still under construction and very few animals to see as their sites are not ready. I felt the price of $19.00 adult and $15.00 senior was high considering the lack of animals to see and enjoy. I would suggest a pre-opening price of $10.00 would... More

This park located right in Winnipeg, MB is really nice. It is right across the bridge (footbridge over the river) from Sargent Sundae. It also is really nice. Especially with their expansions that they are doing. The nature playground there is a great place for little kids. They have a lot of beautiful gardens such as the Leo Mol Sculpture... More

Great place to spend a few hours and it costs nothing. Several beautiful gardens to walk through. There is a large kids park that is fenced in. If you look around there is something for everyone.

Assiniboine park offers a nature based haven in the center of the urban busyness of the city of Winnipeg. Picnic, grassy areas, the Pavillion and the duck pond are just a few of the highlights. Year round activities work to engage both the Manitoba residents as well as visitors to embrace this gem nestled in the heart of the capital... More
