This is a heck of an orchestra, and I have seen many over two continents. They are talented, precise and practiced. Worth a visit.

This is one of the finest orchestra, I would say. When I was in Winnipeg, I enjoyed them a lot. They have a lot of programmes and it is good idea to have a membership.

My mother asked me what I would like to do for my birthday and I said I would like to go and listen to James Bond music! The orchestra was amazing. The guest singer looked awesome in all her outfits and sang beautifully. The conductor was hilarious with his witty repartee. Plus loved the cellphone musical number! I would go... More

Saw them at the Prairie Barge Festival right next to the Assiniboine River and thoroughly enjoyed their performance and conductor's explanations. They played a new piece from a young composer that was especially good!

I love everything about our WSO! We are so blessed to have them entertain us most of the year, whether they are indoors or outdoors, in town and out of town, and in all kinds of weather! Music crosses all age, race, and language barriers and delights both the young and the old, the well and the not-so-well, the rich... More

Especially in winter, when there's not much to do around here, lol, The Symphony Orchestra has the best musicians and venues out here, book online early to get the best seats in the house.

For a city a small as Winnipeg, having a high level symphony orchestra is a rare treat! The season showcases a wide variety of different styles and themes of symphony performance. I have seen both classical as well as pop series and I have never been disappointed. If you are visiting Winnipeg or if you are a local who is... More

I never thought I would EVER be going to the symphony on a regular basis, but my wife bought season tickets to the Pops series a few years ago and we have been ardent fans ever since. The program is varied every year and we absolutely look forward to how the producers are going to wow us every year. Haven't... More

The WSO outdid themselves with their "Bond and Beyond" concert celebrating 50 years of the various incarnations of James Bond movies. The orchestra was most excellent and highly enjoyable was the self-effacing and entertaining banter of conductor Michael Krajewski. I particularly enjoyed watching the percussionists - some very exciting and visceral pieces played with great artistry and skill. The guest vocalist... More
