The WSO offers performances of quality but the last season was quite predictable. Why not offer more variety in terms of more recent works over the last 50 years? Also create a more fun and diverse backdrop. Could dancers be added to some musical numbers?

If you happen upon Winnipeg during the WSO season, a visit to the concert hall is a must do! World class musicians, a cozy environment, and a wonderful ambience while taking in classical music is a priceless!

The symphony plays at the concert hall and it is always a fantastic evening. On Canada Day the symphony performed at the stage at the Forks. It was great to enjoy the music at an outdoor venue. Be sure to visit them in the Concert Hall during the upcoming season. They offer Pops concerts, Masterworks, and a variety of other... More

This evening's post-concert reaction of one of Winnipeg's own local French horn artists: "WOW, what a show! The live orchestral music was amazing… " Coming from a superb instrumentalist in her own right, I fully agree with the comment. The WSO played their first-ever "Pay what you can" concert this evening at the Centennial concert hall in downtown Winnipeg, and... More

Going there every month from October till May to listen to POP Series. It is always a fun. Excellent guest performers, and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is one of the best in the world.

I have attended many concerts here over the years and they have always been wonderful. The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is a world renown orchestra that hosts many well known, established musicians in featured performances. Listening to the symphony play Beethoven's Ninth Symphony gave me chills. Also impressive was their production of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. Of course, this is a versatile... More

When the Winnipeg Jets left our city for 15 years, between 1995 and 2010, a lot of the money that normally went into paying for season or single tickets, went back into the arts community in the form of season tickets for plays, symphonies, theatre, opera and music. We were one of those couples, buying tickets for MTC, Prairie Theatre... More

The performers are very professional and surprisingly friendly! We had a nice evening listening to them perform a Christmas show in our local community and while I do not listen to classical music, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance.

The WSO does not just play 'classical' music, as some may believe. This was an evening of delight, energy, and pure joy as we listened to our friend play, and sing, Broadway music in a new and innovative style, arranged by himself! And at times, inviting the audience to sing along! This was a highlight of my year!
