This evening was magical. I don't remember when I had so much fun. The conductor, Ivars Taurins brought the evening to life. He was brilliant and gave us direction with humour. Since I'm used to listening to the melody, I had some trouble at first because I'm an alto. Interspersing the Mennonite Festival Choir in the audience was pure genius.... More

Saw the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra with Randy Bachman today. We all enjoyed this performance very much. The hometown boy coming home and sharing his stories of starting his music career in Winnipeg and the trivia leading up to the songs he wrote and performed. Loved the symphony. This is my first time attending a WSO performance and I know I... More

Great show. The little background discussions make it more personal. Rock and roll winnipegger - great history.

It was more than expected, got good seats on short notice. It was easy to get to by cab from the 529 Wellington restaurant. Nothing negative about the evening.

We saw Pirates of the Caribbean, and it was AMAZING to have a live orchestra play the score while watching the movie! Great experience! Mind your seats though, you could end up with an obstructed view of the screen.

This is a heck of an orchestra, and I have seen many over two continents. They are talented, precise and practiced. Worth a visit.

This is one of the finest orchestra, I would say. When I was in Winnipeg, I enjoyed them a lot. They have a lot of programmes and it is good idea to have a membership.

My mother asked me what I would like to do for my birthday and I said I would like to go and listen to James Bond music! The orchestra was amazing. The guest singer looked awesome in all her outfits and sang beautifully. The conductor was hilarious with his witty repartee. Plus loved the cellphone musical number! I would go... More

Saw them at the Prairie Barge Festival right next to the Assiniboine River and thoroughly enjoyed their performance and conductor's explanations. They played a new piece from a young composer that was especially good!
