Great hiking, exploration, jogging, cycling, horseback riding, camping, a beautiful restaurant with great eats and a view, and the most popular option; the beach! The beach is man-made and not the prettiest. A lot of people aren't too willing to swim in it because it's a bit more like a pond / marsh... but for Winnipeg it's the quickest sandy... More

This is a lovely park, with many trails to explore.....in poor weather "the Burr Oak Trail" is great because it is paved. In the summer the "White Cedar Forest" trail is amazing. The beach is perfect for little ones. There is ample wildlife so bring your camera you are bound to see something. There are numerous programs the park volunteers... More

We were really impressed with the campground. The signage to get to the campground and then to the campsite was excellent - unlike some other provincial parks we visited in other provinces. We stayed in a full service site and were really impressed with the design that provided convenience and privacy. The park trails are also excellent for cycling and... More

Wonderful park. Surprised Winnipeg doesn't come out in droves to this place. Good swimming for the little ones, lifeguards on duty, lots of picnic sites. Lake expansion in action which should really up quality of this beach. Campground could use new maintenance policies or maybe staff. Broken things such as hand dryers never get repaired or addressed, leaking faucets and... More

Campground is managed very well and the office is open every day until near dusk. Lots to see and do for kids and clear signage to find your way around. Beach is hit and miss for cleanliness but considering the volume of litterbugs that visit they do their best to keep it clean.

This place is close to home for us. We visit the park often and camp once or twice a year. Our camp site was awesome. The paved bike trail is nearby. We enjoy getting out to enjoy one of our awesome parks.

We had driven from southern ON to Winnipeg to visit some family and friends. We decided to camp along the way to make it a hit of an adventure. We stayed 4 nights I. Birds Hill Park. The park is large with many options to keep you active. Our site was nicely maintained and offered us the privacy we enjoy.... More

I was at Bird's Hill officiating a horse show so I can't say I saw all of the park or experienced much. I'm writing this review because with what I saw, I really want to return. Wildlife is bountiful, park roads are excellent. There were tons of locals bringing their kayaks, bikes and riding horses to make excellent use of... More

If the parks in Winnipeg don't fit your needs, you can drive thirty minutes and likely find the place to do it at Birds Hill. Birds Hill has several hiking trails some of which can be used for mountain biking. It also is a popular spot for road cycling on the paved trails or streets within the park. They also... More
