When traveling south on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, you will see Mt. Garibaldi, a gigantic granite mountain that rises immediately before you. It's one of my favorite sites in all of BC. Stop and see Shannon Falls. It's wonderful!

Really like the private campsites. There is a great little lake that is also great for picnicking. I would highly recommend visiting this park.
Obviously Whistler Blackcomb is the highlight but the entire area is just the most gorgeous place I've ever been. Spectacular scenery and amazing wildlife!
I loved, loved, loved my 5 days at Garibaldi Park. Don't let the word "provincial" confuse you. This park is definitely on the scale of many other national parks in North America, in terms of its size, rugged scenery, and backcountry opportunities. Mid-October was the perfect time to visit, as the crowds were thinner and the weather was that perfect...

Hiked Garibaldi Lake in early September. Gorgeous weather made for a great hiking day. The turn off to access the hike is pretty inconspicuous. There is no actual sign that says "Garibaldi Lake" this way. It's a small turn off after the sign that says 2km to Garibaldi. Follow the winding road all the way up to the parking lot....

We enjoyed hiking trails, drives, leaves changing, walking trails, vistas and well-maintained park and campgrounds.
If seeing amazing views is your thing, Garibaldi is a must. Garibaldi lake hike is challenging to start with but it levels out and is well worth the effort. I had a moment once i reached the lake as its crystal blue waters gave me some of the best of my trip. Spend some time and eat, swim and take...

it takes 9 km (6 miles) up to mountains, not too steep but steady up, children can do it easily, water colour is amazing, glacier mountains are definitely worth the trip there. Try it on a clear day, not cloudy one.
Garibaldi was very challenging to climb with our heavy packs, but it was well worth the hike. Pop over to Panorama Ridge if you plan to stay over lakeside.
Some of the best hiking, backpacking and camping places in the word. Have hiked the entire park and never tire of it. Amazing place.
