We did indeed see 2 bears and they lingered for long enough to get good pictures. We also went off road and saw lovely scenery, but no bears. Our guide's enthusiasm seemed to outstrip his knowledge (winters he is a snowboard instructor). We could have done with a little less talking. Our bigger disappoint was that only 3 passenger seats... The brochure shows spectacular B.C. mountain scenery, the reality is highway asphalt. Perhaps it was too early in the season to reach the high country, which I understand. But the price didn't drop just because we were cruising an area highway rather than heading into wilderness. We did see four bears (one of them three times) and our guide was... More

Went with Jason to see some bears tonight. Saw about 10 bears. One was about 5 feet from my car window. Even if I had not seen a bear, I would have felt that it was time welll spent. Jason knew a great deal about bears & heir habits. We asked a lot of questions. He had all the answers.... More

Great tour with a really insightful guide - we got within about 3m of a beautiful black bear. Not just a bear tour though, stunning views of the mountains and a visit to a waterfall as well. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I took this tour on August 28 and although we weren't lucky enough to see any bears we felt as though we gained an insight into their lives and habitat and also, we got to see and photograph some amazing places that we wouldn't have found otherwise. On booking James explained that they can't guarantee ante bear... More

Of course the operators want to book as many people as they can. They have their bills to pay. But, please be honest. Certain times of the year, your chances of seeing bears in the village are just as good as seeing them on the logging roads they take you on AND you don't pay $100's. We got a 2... More

I want to say that the driver that gave us this tour was top notch. He was a nature photographer and had so much information to impart, I was quite taken with his expertise. We had a party of six people, two teens, one 12 year old, and three adults. I paid 650.00 for a two hour tour of the... More

Our guide Jason was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made every effort to take us to as many back road spots as possible and taught us a lot about how bears live. Unfortunately we were caught out by the fact that we booked in advance online from the UK. It turned out that the time of year we had booked... More
