Have played this Palmer course in the past and loved it for its valley setting and fantastic scenery. Bear sightings are also exciting although make sure you don't have food in the cart with you---it's a surefire way to have a potential "close encounter". Course was in great shape but agree with the comments regarding difficulty to read the greens... More

Ok so we didn't here to play golf but we walked the valley trial in the hope to see some bears. It was a lovely walk and we saw a bear about 10ft from the path, fast asleep under a tree. The walk is peaceful with great views.

There are some great golf choices in Whistler (Nicklaus North, Chateau Whistler and Whistler Golf Club) and nearby Pemberton (Big Sky). The granddaddy of them all is the Palmer-designed municipally-owned Whistler Golf Club. It is a great, mature course with wonderful views. It also boasts some of the best pricing (including "locals" (BC driver's licence) pricing).

Friendly staffers and Nike rentals, plus well-groomed fairways and receptive greens. This may be the "public" course in Whistler, but it's in better condition than a lot of private courses I've played. The 16th is a particular highlight.

The scenery is truly remarkable, and the course fits the land. The greens were fast and in almost perfect shape. The sand traps had the best sand I have ever played in--a golden, buttery sand.

Thanks for playing us and for the nice review. We've received amazing reviews about the greens all year but it was nice to hear about the bunkers as well. We rake them every day so the crew will love to read your positive response. Thanks More

This golf course enjoys a terrific setting. The layout is good. The course condition is acceptable with the greens in good condition but extremely difficult to putt for the average golfer. Very fast with many undulations. The disappointment we had was that the two ladies in our foursome decided to play the forward gold tees because one of them is... More

Thank you for the review. As mentioned in our phone call we got the idea to offer shorter tees for beginners from Bandon Dunes who also have tee markers in their fairways. I agreed with you they aren't perfect tees but we feel the attempt to help keep play moving was worth the compromise but agreed with you on the... More

We played the course with our friends who were visiting from the US. The day began with a phone call telling us that there was a frost delay and to take our time arriving. When we arrived at the course, the staff in the pro-shop and on the course were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. We had a great day... More

We both played golf and ate in the clubhouse. The food was delicious and really happy pleasant service. The course itself is beautiful . We were able to play 5 holes at tea time . This was a great option for us .... It was enough to play at a great time of day. We hired clubs from them and... More

I'm glad you enjoyed our "5 after 5" program. It has been very popular. An hour of golf is better than no golf! More
