Description: Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97...
Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97 and Highway 6. The park was established in 1908 when Samuel Polson donated a large parcel of land to the city. Located in the park is the Lawn Bowling Club, the Interior Space and Science Centre, the Arts Council and Vernon Heritage Hall.Polson Park is probably best known for the Floral Clock that was installed in 1958. The date is changed daily and it provides a great photo with its colourful background. Further into the park you will find the Japanese Garden, which was donated by the Japanese Community and the Chinese Pagoda, which was donated by the Chinese Community. Both were constructed in 1967 as Centennial Projects. The Rose Garden, a perennial favorite and also a Centennial project, is located in the south east of the park. Specific areas of the park can be reserved for your special event such as weddings, social gatherings and concerts.

Server Brooklyn was so amazing. She kept our health and wellness top priority! Well Done! The food was great and the ambiance, was alright for a Sunday Night. Music was not our complete tastes so when it was loud is was really loud, And Brooklyn saved the night with the hospitality and kindness shown.

I love this place and ride my bike through the park a couple times a week from spring to fall. Nestled up beside the hospital hill and the creek that flows from Kalamalka Lake to Okanagan Lake, there is always some cool shade under the grand old trees even during the hot summer days. It is a park for everyone,... More

This is a lovely little park at first glance. A good playground for children, trees and flowers..a science centre, but you really have to be careful who is around you. The less than stellar people of Vernon tend to gravitate there and makes a person feel unsafe at times. Also, we all like ducks in the park..fun for the kids... More

The young ladies that work here are very nice, they get to know you by name, and you get a lot of good food for the price

I recently went to this park with my children and grandchildren. It is delightful. It has something to offer all ages. Poison Park has a great playground, a walking track, beautiful creek, pond, covered walking bridge, ducks to feed, a Science Centre and many more features to enjoy. It really is worth reading up on and utilizing. It is close... More

This little park is so beautiful! We bring our visiting friends and family here. it has two really well maintained washrooms, gorgeous large trees, really well kept grass park area, flower clock, running track, spray park and play area for kids, tennis courts, picnic tables and even out door exercise equipment. A creek runs through one end of the park... More

Polson Park is a beautiful green space with lots of greenery, flowers and water. The birds come to get feed by people and it's a great place to roam or go for a brisk walk or jog. I would give it an excellent rating except for the fact that all locals will warn you to not go there once dark... More

This is a large, well-maintained park that was well-used by seniors and young families on the midday Thursday that we visited. We enjoyed the Polson Park nature trail - it was peaceful, well-kept and the signage was good.

Nice, well maintained park and playground. Lots of ducks and geese! There is a creek that runs through the park...nice to walk along and relax.
