Description: Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97...
Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97 and Highway 6. The park was established in 1908 when Samuel Polson donated a large parcel of land to the city. Located in the park is the Lawn Bowling Club, the Interior Space and Science Centre, the Arts Council and Vernon Heritage Hall.Polson Park is probably best known for the Floral Clock that was installed in 1958. The date is changed daily and it provides a great photo with its colourful background. Further into the park you will find the Japanese Garden, which was donated by the Japanese Community and the Chinese Pagoda, which was donated by the Chinese Community. Both were constructed in 1967 as Centennial Projects. The Rose Garden, a perennial favorite and also a Centennial project, is located in the south east of the park. Specific areas of the park can be reserved for your special event such as weddings, social gatherings and concerts.

It's a nice park, good if you want to go read or relax. The stream is beautiful and there is a lot of green space especially right off the highway. This was a place I visited when I just moved here, as I was trying to discover as much as possible. I walked barefoot in the grass and was later... More

Amazing place! Very impressed with how meticulous the grounds are kept. Other than the drug users hanging out at every second bench. But did get to watch the RCMP broom a bunch into the car. Ignore the needle boxes in the washroom. Beautiful walk by the vernon Creek. The ducks were a favourite as they followed us for the whole... More

I like it because there are lots of trees and flowers and always feel much cooler than outside of park due to a cool creek in the park and you can walk in the shed under the tree ....and also many seats in the park

Spent the week in Vernon. Polson park is right in the centre of town. Beautiful park, lots of trees, grass, picnic areas. We took our 2 yr old to feed the ducks at the pond (big hit!) and play at the playground which is really nice. There's also a spray park that's on on hot days.

We stopped here for a late picnic lunch spot. We saw the park while driving to our hotel. There was some much needed rain overnight, but it dried up by early afternoon, and we had a good picnic in a beautiful setting. We also enjoyed a walk around the park and a nice drive around afterwards as well. The flowers... More

Great facilities for families with water park, playground. exercise station, nice washroom facilities, stage and water feature. There is also a oval track which is in poor condition and a large playing field that has been decommissioned which is a waste as there is a shortage of fields in Vernon. The biggest drawback is the transcends who hang here. My... More

This park has something to offer for all ages. There are several walking paths, lots of picnic tables and many ponds. The floral clock is worth getting a look at.

This was a lovely park in the center of town. Beautiful gardens, well kept ponds and a great fountain park for the kids to cool off.
