Description: Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97...
Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97 and Highway 6. The park was established in 1908 when Samuel Polson donated a large parcel of land to the city. Located in the park is the Lawn Bowling Club, the Interior Space and Science Centre, the Arts Council and Vernon Heritage Hall.Polson Park is probably best known for the Floral Clock that was installed in 1958. The date is changed daily and it provides a great photo with its colourful background. Further into the park you will find the Japanese Garden, which was donated by the Japanese Community and the Chinese Pagoda, which was donated by the Chinese Community. Both were constructed in 1967 as Centennial Projects. The Rose Garden, a perennial favorite and also a Centennial project, is located in the south east of the park. Specific areas of the park can be reserved for your special event such as weddings, social gatherings and concerts.

This is a real gem in the heart of Vernon and has some truly extensive, well maintained, and superlative playground equipment for the kids. The community spirit here is amazing as some moms will actually take turns at various locations around the equipment to keep the kids safe. There will be one mom at the top of the slides keeping... Quiet refuge park in the middle of the city on Hwy 97, the Alaska Highway. Lovely Swans and geese etc on the ponds. Also there is a large flower clock on the side of an embankment.

Actually live just above this park, and it is very nice in the daylight hours, very well maintained, nice place for the kids to feed the ducks and play. I would advise against staying there after dark, unless there is some large activity going on,as this park is home to a large number of homeless persons, and drug use is high in this area

At the entrance to the city from the south, Polson park has a great oval for fitness buffs, and hosts many fundraising efforts throughout the year. It boasts a super play area for kids and seating places along the creek to watch the birds. Canada day hosts its annual celebration in the park as well. For me, the only downside... More

Grew up here, nice place to visit during the day. Unfortunately need to be careful with vehicle thefts (leave nothing in sight), and avoid after dark unless for a busy event. Nice pond/creek and gardens, running track, water park for kids.

Server Brooklyn was so amazing. She kept our health and wellness top priority! Well Done! The food was great and the ambiance, was alright for a Sunday Night. Music was not our complete tastes so when it was loud is was really loud, And Brooklyn saved the night with the hospitality and kindness shown.

I love this place and ride my bike through the park a couple times a week from spring to fall. Nestled up beside the hospital hill and the creek that flows from Kalamalka Lake to Okanagan Lake, there is always some cool shade under the grand old trees even during the hot summer days. It is a park for everyone,... More

This is a lovely little park at first glance. A good playground for children, trees and flowers..a science centre, but you really have to be careful who is around you. The less than stellar people of Vernon tend to gravitate there and makes a person feel unsafe at times. Also, we all like ducks in the park..fun for the kids... More
