I love Goldstream Park and head down to watch the Salmon Run every year now. But unfortunately the small mountains around there have peaks where the views are construction sites or lumberyards. If only we could retain the wilderness in the area, it would be beneficial for the whole ecosystem around the area. The inlet also has a few boats... More

Goldstream is quite close to Victoria. It's has many kinds of trails from easy, paved walkways to very rugged climbs. Streams and waterfalls are everywhere. We love all of Vancouver Island's Provençal parks. Our only problem with this one was the lack of clear signs to direct us to the trail or park entrance we were looking for. More

I took my dog on a walk during the salmon run after researching whether she was allowed. Parking was crazy as it always is that time of year. They allow dogs but it isnt exactly dog friendly but more from the other patrons. I got many dirty looks as if they thought she shouldn't be there. It is not half... More

The scenery at Goldstream Park is amazing! Depending on what time of year you visit, you may see salmon, eagles and even bears here. If you have kids, you'll want to check out the nature house. More

This area has some lovely walks along the Goldstream River and up the mountains on either side of a steep valley. It is best to choose the trails which are away from the highway which is noisy. More

We love going to Goldstream Park almost any time of the year!! We are fortunate to live in the area & regularly walk our dog in the park. We love to take our International students there to see some really BIG trees and just experience the beauty of the Westcoast. The students love going to the nature house & all... More

Goldstream Park is a great park. If the summer heat gets to be too much for you, a walk in the shade of giant cedars and spruce trees might fit the bill. There is a great salmon run here in the fall . . . a word of warning; it gets a bit smelly as the fall moves along. Also,... More

Any of the locals who have children in public school have had to go to this park annually when the school curriculum covers the salmon run. It's a fascinating glimpse of nature (and wonderful to share with your growing children) in an awesome environment that is laid out well for visitors with plenty of parking, and a picnic area that...
