I live in Victoria and take all my visitors to this famous Castle built by James Dunsmuir (Lumber Baron & Lt Governor) around the turn of the 20th century. The spectacular Gardens (Japanese, Italian etc), man made fishing ponds and old growth forest overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca make this a must see!! It's so spectacular every year... More

Loved the gardens and the peacocks. Didn't like the pay parking, but can understand the reason why. Limited parking for those with mobility issues who don't have a handicapped sticker. More
