Okay, I must admit....a Bug Zoo? Really? As a family of 6 did I really want to spend money to go to a bug zoo? I am so glad that my 6 year old insisted. It ended up being a ton of fun. You need to latch onto a tour person for sure. If you do not, you will just... More

I have been visited bug zoo on June 2015 with 3 Little kids aged 4-9-13. The museum is just 3 big room, maybe as big as a one big apartment. That's all. But the time we have spent there is unforgettable. There are maybe 20 or 30 big glass boxes with different bugs inside but what was great is the... More

Families who visit Victoria come here with their children. There is a lot to,do in this small building. Kids can color at the colouring station and even hold bugs now how cool,is that guys. The tour is lead by a tour guidemwhomis very educated in these bugsmsomifmyou have questions fire away. Tours is about an hour to two depending. Staff... More

Stopped in while on cruise in Victoria. Mostly children inside, but a handful of adults (or big kids). Staff was friendly and told good stories about the bugs. Got to hold many of the bugs too. If your into that thing, worth a stop.

As most have said, this is fairly unassuming building ... it has a small room with lots of displays and bugs ... only worth it it to follow the tour guide, and get lots of info and hold the bugs. Complete tour lasts roughly an hour but we spent 2 hrs there with a 2 yr old ... really smart... More

My boys (6 & 8) loved this spot. It is a small museum with lots to look at. Definitely take advantage of the staff giving the tour. The kids got to touch and hold all kinds of bugs.

If you love bugs, this is the place. They have lots of bugs and let the kids touch them. It's quite small so you pay for the novelty. Unless you seriously love bugs, you might find this overpriced. But on a rainy day in Victoria there aren't a lot of choices for kids. The people who work there are super friendly... More

We followed the signs off Douglas street and ended up going through some labyrinth of halls and such in a large structure following the "to shops" and "bug zoo" signs. The actual entrance is on another street but we got there, which would have been instantly "there" but we had followed a sign from the street instead. I've never been... More

If they spent as much on the "Zoo" as they did on all the signage used to guide people to them they may actually have something worth seeing. Alas. ...don't waste your time.

We took our children to the Bug Zoo and paid around $48 for 2 adults and 2 children. There was only a few things to see. We probably looked at everything and were out within half an hour. For the price we paid, there should have been enough stuff to see and do to take a couple of hours. Very... More
