I wanted to go to Victoria’s Bug Zoo though my wife was not very interested. I told her that was the one thing that I wanted to do there (I enjoy all animal type places) so she said ok. It is located on the street next to The Empress pretty much right across the street from Miniature World. The entrance/ticket... More

Smallish place and near the city centre. The kids loved it and we spent about an hour there (you could also complete it in 5 mins if you hate bugs) What's great were the hands on touching of the bugs and David (and Liam) were great in providing commentaries and introduction of the bugs. The large ant nest that runs... More

After having a lovely time with my daughter on vacation from Scotland, we decided to take the float plane over to Vancouver. We had a great experience looking down at everything, it was exciting, only taking 20 mins. It shortened her journey not having to go on the ferry, as her flight is long enough taking 10 hours. We then... More

Visited the bug zoo when we first arrived here (6 weeks ago) at beginning of our holiday. My two young boys, 6 & 9yrs still talk about the bug zoo & how much they loved it! Liam was our host. He had amazing knowledge about every bug/insect & was great with the kids. My youngest loved how interactive it was... More

What a cool place! So many interesting bugs from all over the world, with lots of great information and facts about each. A delightful guide giving a tour was amazing with the kids and let everyone hold many of the insects. So much fun and a lot of great photo opps!

You see there mostly school classes on a field trip, but as an individual there are enough friendly personal to answer your question and explain all these creatures. My at the time four year old granddaughter stayed for three hours. She did not need a bathroom break, was not thirsty and loved to hold very gently all kinds of insects,... More

Loved visiting the Bug Zoo with my ten-year-old daughter. Wide variety of creatures to look at and we even got to hold some of them! The guides are wonderful and do a great job sharing information about the bugs. You can tell they really love working there. I doesn't take a long time to go through......an hour or so.......but I'd... More
