Fun for everyone. Whether it's a hot summer day or a rainy spring afternoon, head down to the Bug Zoo. I'm not a fan of creepy crawlies but the guides at the zoo helped to teach me more about them and help me understand them, so they are not as scary as they once were. My favourites were the stick... Even spider-hatess might be tempted to hold big hariy ones. The hands-on experience was very fun for all ages. Just be open minded and you might befriend a scorpion

I did find the fees to a bit expensive for what you get. It was smaller than I thought but I really enjoyed seeing all the different critters. I even found one that I want to add to the household population but that is not possible so I have to live with the picture. We have stickbugs as pets so... More

The zoo is a room filled with tanks of insects. There is a "tour guide" in the room to talk about the critters and you can hold some of them but the guide in the room while we were there got stuck in one spot. The information in the wall is adult level reading and when most of the clientele... More

Fun little place that the kids thought was really cool. Being able to handle some of the critters made for a great experience. A larger space with more bugs would make this place even better.

The bug zoo is only a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, so easy to get there and back. The zoo is very hands-on, great for kids, but also very interesting for adults !! The staff constantly gives live tours, where they explain the bugs, ... They have an ant farm inside with an estimated 5MM leaf cutter ants, yes... More

We are museum hounds and this one had live displays. My 20 year old daughter and I had a great hour and a half. The giant ant farm alone kept us busy for 30 minutes. The kids who were there were fascinated and the young adult and teen docents were patient and helpful.

My 12yr old was super excited to be going to the bug zoo but was overall disappointed with his time there. We took the tour but while he thought some of the things were neat and it was cool that he could hold a few things he was disappointed in the fact that the things he wanted to hold most... More

This is an interesting stop. The zoo itself is rather small, but can still be entertaining. We took the tour and took our time and was done in about 1 hour. Some of the insects they will let you touch or hold, others not. There were lots of little children here and they seem to really be enjoying themselves. They... More

Overall value for money great for the entire family. If you are sensitive to creepy insects this is not for you. I liked how we were given the opportunity to touch some of the bugs. However it is a small place and it got a bit crowded with other field trips going on at the same time. The Larvae snacks... More
