A fun and very informative experience! For those brave women, men and children, you are given the opportunity to (gently) hold some incredible insects. Giant stick bugs, millipedes etc.. The location is small but comfortable. Can get a bit distruptive if more than one group is circulating through at the same time. Guides are very well informed and able to... More

We have taken our grandchildren to the Bug Zoo several times. It is always a hit. The range and size of the denizens is amazing. The guides are extremely helpful and patient, and kids will never forget having a giant stick insect sitting on their hand. Adults can host a tarantula. For anyone with a biological bent, this is one... More

This by far was a lot smaller then I was imagining a "zoo" to be. But the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the bugs that were in there. Not a lot of variety of bugs either. It was a fun way to kill some time. I must add that my husband and I went WITHOUT children so I... More

This attraction was much smaller than I anticipated when I took my son there. I was thinking it was something more on the scale of the Montreal Insectarium which is a full scale museum. This space is two rooms with what looks like less than 30 varieties of bugs. Yet, they still managed to keep us entertained for an hour... More

Aloha everyone, I am not a bug lover. At all. My girlfriend, however, finds them utterly fascinating--which is consistent with her abundant love for all non-human creatures. So, being a loving and supportive partner, I took her there today. (Note: I found this place through Tripadvisor while planning our annual New Years vacation--this year to Victoria, BC.) Ok, to put... More

Pretty much the only reason to go to the Bug Zoo is if you have kids and need to occupy their time. Pricey but kept the kids occupied. Not much else to say - lots of bugs.

I visited the Bug Zoo with my adult son and his two girls, ages 7 and 9. We all had an amazing time with Jaymie, our tour guide. The exhibits are built so all can see. There are tarantulas, scorpions, stick bugs, and so much more. We even got to hold some of these amazing creatures. I have come to... More

Great place to learn about bugs - even for adults. Great for kids. They even have a great gift shop.

This little gem is a hands-on experience that kids will love. From cockroaches to the tarantula, there's a bug for everyone! Tour guides lead small groups from tank to tank and remove the bugs and let the willing hold them (all while explaining about the bug being held). The tarantula and scorpion are apparently sensitive and "breakable" thus you must... More

First time to this fantastic little venue! We took our two year old granddaughter & family to see what bugs are all about. She had a great time in this tiny location, however their are many things that the adults learned about the daily lives about being a bug! We found it a little pricey for the young ones, yet...
