I'm assuming there was more on display some time ago as a number of terrariums were empty. There are roaches, mantis, various spiders, ants and a few others. The guide was very engaging, displays were not very informative.

My kids loved the Victoria Bug Zoo. It was very interesting and the staff were very goods, and really encouraged the kids to be hands on. We had a good time. I wish this facility was nicer, but what can you do, it is a bug museum after all.

I liked holding the scopions, centipede and thought the stick bugs were very cool. The gift shop has a lot to offer and we came away with a miniature bug zoo dome, that was played with for hours and hours around our home.

Don't let the small size of the area throw you off! There is a lot to see and the staff is very informative. You will be there for quite a while and my daughter had a blast every time I took her there! They even offered to let me hold a tarantula..... Im too much of a wuss though! :)

Bring your kids, young and old and they'll enjoy it. It's not huge, but very informative as you walk around with a guide who provides very interesting details about all the bugs you're viewing. Kids can hold large bugs and spiders at the end of the tour (under guidance) if they're old (and brave) enough. Your kids will remember and... More

A fun and very informative experience! For those brave women, men and children, you are given the opportunity to (gently) hold some incredible insects. Giant stick bugs, millipedes etc.. The location is small but comfortable. Can get a bit distruptive if more than one group is circulating through at the same time. Guides are very well informed and able to... More

We have taken our grandchildren to the Bug Zoo several times. It is always a hit. The range and size of the denizens is amazing. The guides are extremely helpful and patient, and kids will never forget having a giant stick insect sitting on their hand. Adults can host a tarantula. For anyone with a biological bent, this is one... More

This by far was a lot smaller then I was imagining a "zoo" to be. But the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the bugs that were in there. Not a lot of variety of bugs either. It was a fun way to kill some time. I must add that my husband and I went WITHOUT children so I... More

This attraction was much smaller than I anticipated when I took my son there. I was thinking it was something more on the scale of the Montreal Insectarium which is a full scale museum. This space is two rooms with what looks like less than 30 varieties of bugs. Yet, they still managed to keep us entertained for an hour... More
