I spent the evening celebrating NYE at the Fairmont, and I would definitely recommend this, It is pricey, but worth the money as the food is AMAZING and so much choice and the music and bands were great. This is definitely a Bucket list to do.

The Empress was delightful! Felt like we were going back in time. Our room wasn't large but very pretty and had nice toiletries and linens. We had the high tea and that was great as well. I can recommend this hotel.

An historic hotel that dominates one side of the beautiful inner harbour of Victoria. This "Great Dame" has an amazing history that you can see as you walk through its beautifully kept antique furnished public rooms. On your way in, notices the beautiful gardens that surround this hugh hotel. Even if you are simply visiting, there is so much to... More

Dont forget to check out the historic basement photo's and old menu's behind the glass case's. I love wondering through this hotel, looking at all the old photo's on the walls, especially during Christmas when they have the Christmas Tree displays up. The old elevator is an experience as well. I've only been for Tea once, I think Butchard Gardens... More

My buddy and I stayed in a gold double suite on two separate nights. When I called down to ask for a razor on the first morning, I almost fell over laughing when it arrived... the cheapest disposable razor that I've ever seen. While the staff in the hotel is amazing, the old world charm of the spectacular building was... More

I realize that this tea is a little on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny. It is set in a beautiful and elegant room steeped in history. the teas they serve are amazing and the light lunch/dainty tray is fabulous. The staff and service are A plus. I would not hesitate to spend the money and go... More

Lovely hotel with the most wonderful staff. Stayed in a king bed room on the sixth floor overlooking harbour. Completely with it! With a view like that who needs a tv. A bottle of wine and we watched the sun set. Room itself is rather ordinary. Needs abit of TLC. Wallpaper curling, paint starting to peel, carpet stained and tired,... More

This is the first thing people see when coming into the Inner harbour and it's beautiful. Fabulous curb appeal and beautiful inside.

We did not stay here but went in to see the hotel. It is very nice but very expensive. $50 for high tea is quite costly. They do have a nice gift shop
