If you like old world charm and architecture the public spaces for this hotel are definitely worth a look in. I was told by others that the high tea is also an elegant experience.

This is a lovely property, right on the harbor in Victoria. Beautiful grounds and impeccably maintained, it was a pleasure to tour. We really enjoyed the Bengal Room, which reminded me of what it must have been like to experience Imperial India in the 1920s. The hotel shops, were amazingly unimpressive, but there is plenty of nice architectural detail all... More

This is a beautiful hotel; you can't miss it when you're looking at the harbor. It is enormous with a gorgeous lawn and tress in front of it. My husband and I went for "high tea." I'm a tea lover; I'm also a foodie. The tea was great (they have their own brand), but the food was just average. I... More

Yes the hotel is old. The Fairmont still beautiful, needs to be updated but I definitely would go back and stay at the Fairmont. The bar itself is a great room but the actual size of the bar needs to improve. Negatively needs a TV in the bar to watch the game, and no need to make the atmosphere of... More

The Bengal Lounge is a great place to relax and have a drink. The bartender specials are unique and the wait staff is friendly.

From the minute we walked into this hotel we were impressed. We are part of the President's Club, which I just signed up for when I made my reservation. We had an exclusive check in area, a private lounge, complimentary breakfast, Afternoon tea, evening canapés, an extremely attentive staff, and a fantastic room with a great view. There was nothing... More

This hotel has a nice old times architecture. One of the jewel of the Inner Harbour. I wouldn't pay their high prices for tea though.

An old style opulent hotel, open to the public to check out the ground floor areas, a lot of history here, even sighted a guest register from 1909. Outside the trees have been shaped to look like dogs. Enjoys prime position overlooking the harbour.

Very historic hotel that overlooks the harbor. They do allow you to visit the hotel. The afternoon tea was reported to be great but I had already done this in London earlier this year.
