We really enjoyed walking through two levels of the lobby looking at the various decorated Christmas trees. The hotel is gracious and traditional. High tea looks sumptuous but runs about $50 pp so we passed on that. Didn't stay here but it clearly is THE HOTEL in Victoria!

Everyone we talked to suggested walking through the lobby and taking a glimpse of this grand hotel. While I'm sure the rooms are amazing, why would you want all that foot traffic ( like us) tramping through your vacation? I didn't find it that great and the lobby rest rooms were unimpressive and dirty.

My husband and I stayed here for just one night on a trip back to the U.S. Lovely room. Had afternoon tea service the next day. Loved that! First class accomodations.

Great looking Hotel smack in middle of Victoria on waterfront. This is an impressive hotel with great staff and amenities. Room always cleaned and replenished. This is a busy hotel but the staff are well trained and are always courteous. Dog friendly too but you pay extra. Beacon Hill is nearby to walk to dogs. Expensive but not unexpensive.

Recommended by friends to have tea at the Fairmont Empress Tea Room. This is a must do, but make reservations as it fills up quickly. The tea and treats are all excellent. Business casual is the norm, shorts and jeans are frowned on but permitted.

Reminded me of the Biltmore in Ashville. Grounds are beautiful as are the rooms. The tea room is a major attraction

This was a bucket list item and if I had not been stuffed from cruise food, it would have been fabulous. Beautiful old and elegant hotel. it is one of the oldest and most famous hotels in Victoria, If everyone was in 1920's costume, it would have been ideal. Make a reservation!
