Nice building inside, a bit too expensive and fancy for me, but great green spaces outside and a lot of land to relax on. Grab a book or a buddy and vedge out!

What an absolute spectacular sight to see the Empress Hotel welcoming you into the harbor in Victoria. It is a sight you will not soon forget. There are many places in Victoria that serve very nice teas but the best is High Tea at the Empress. Also, if you are a miniature hobbyist or if you have children along do... More

Surpassed Expectations Had tea in the Empress. We booked ahead and asked for Gluten free. They had it ready for us when we arrived. The sandwiches were very fresh and tasty. The Tea was great (Empress Blend) and the sweets were amazing. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Victoria.

Everyone does the High Tea at the Empress and it is really nice -- expensive but really nice. I expected that and its one of the things you do in Victoria however my husband and I really loved The Bengal Lounge in the Empress -- wonderful place to sit and have a drink and great pub food -- more our... If you like History, this is a must see and definitely make a reservation in their historic tea room. It is expensive, but well worth the experience.

This is a classic trip back to yester-year, turn of the century. Food is very good; service by Robert Harris, with 30 years here is superb. Great fun and an experience to talk about!

After many trips to beautiful Victoria, this was my first time having traditional Afternoon Tea at the Empress Hotel. My beau and I had tea with my 13-year old granddaughter and her best friend. The tea was wonderful, the finger foods and pastries, divine. The service was over the top. This is not a cheap attraction ($62 Canadian each) but... More

This elegant hotel overlooks the inner harbor. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious. Located conveniently near shopping, activities, restaurants, museums. There is nothing I dislike about the Fairmont!

I liked the hotel- its historic and lovely. We had tea there at the restaurant and its overpriced but fun. The service is nice and the view is incredible. Plus they give you Empress tea as a gift at the end. Very fun. We didn't stay in the hotel, so I'm not sure about the rooms.

Historical site at the Inner Harbour next to the BC Government Building. Makes me feel proud. I am not American ... I am Canadian. After a walk around the building go for the Bengal Restaurant.
