Nice Walk

Just to walk around in this luxury hotel is a treat. To stay here is even better. High Tea is our next adventure at this establishment.

We stayed at the Empress and enjoyed not only superb service, but fabulous food and left with a deep appreciation of the history of the hotel. The hotel offer an excellent tour of all the historic aspects of the building, in addition to a lot of information to be found in the guest rooms.

While staying at Victoria we enjoyed a high tea service as part of a Travelmarvel tour. We were impressed with the range a quality of the delicacies and the tea. Overall a very enjoyable evening!

All the charm of this hotel has been renovated out of it, but if you're there anyhow have a quick walk through.

As they say in real estate: Location! Location! Location! The Empress Hotel is PHENOMENAL!! The rooms are nice & clean. There is a mini-fridge, tv, ironing board, hair dryer, & soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion provided. There is a desk & comfy chairs in the room too. *** The Empress offers wireless internet access in all guestrooms (pretty much throughout all parts of their... More

We stayed as a treat for our honeymoon and Jocelyn kindly organised to upgrade us to the top story-which was a lovely and unique experience. The room was nice and spacious, the bathroom made you feel very fancy and was really warm! It had great views across the bay and is a romantic experience-I reccomend other couples to splash out... Look this is THE classic hotel in Victoria. Visit just don't stay. They have no air conditioning, windows open a little bit and ceiling fans aren't for me. It was not a great overnight experience. You can VISIT the hotel. Have tea at the hotel. See the Fairmont bees and marmot. All without staying at the hotel. And plenty of... More

So many events go on at the Fairmont Empress, so loaded with traditions that have an added wow facture. My favorite event is in December – I make a point to attend yearly. The hotel many lobby’s showcase themed Christmas Trees, and I can’t express enough lots of trees. The Victoria Festival of Trees are incredibly decorated Christmas Trees that... More

So glad this Minnesota newlywed couple listened and spent four days at the empress after cruising over from the Olympic Peninsula. 25 years is coming up and we so dearly want to go back.
