I've visited bigger museums with older attractions, but I like the presentation of the Royal BC Museum the best. I like the way the whole room is decorated in the genre of the attractions in the cases. The British Museum in London and the Museum of Natural History in New York have many more attractions and "older stuff" but I... More

Need a good three to four hours for the museum, and even that is probably not enough. More

Our day began in Vancouver, B.C. by getting on a seaplane for the journey to Victoria, B.C. An amazing flight over to Victoria as I have not seen much more beautiful than flying over the gulf islands. Once in Victoria we headed for the museum. I had been there once before but had forgotten a lot. It is worth the... More

Very little has changed there in over 25 years. If you have not seen it might be worth checking out.Went to see the dinosaurs exhibit .thought it would be better. More

Museum was very busy the day we went, it also gave us an excuse to stay out of the rain. That said the museum has plenty to see and is well worth the visit More

This is such an amazing museum that documents a lot of the history of the west coast of Canada. It would take numerous visits, or many years, to take it all in. What they have done inside this building really needs to been seen to be appreciated. Instead of just boring displays, they built entire worlds inside. The turn of... More

The First Nations' portion of the museum's permanent collection is excellent and would be worth the admission price by itself. In the current rotating exhibits there was one area on dinosaurs and one area on the current flora and fauna of the region. We presume this was linked with the IMAX National Geographic Dinosaurs movie that was playing. More

I only had 45 minutes to visit, but quite enjoyed the top floor of human history exhibits, especially the 1800's era "main street" with a Grand Hotel. I wish I'd had more time to explore this area. I visited the IMAX theatre, and enjoyed the Rocky Mountain Express film. The only complaint I would have about this museum is that... More

My wife. daughter and I went on Saturday, May 19th. For 2 adults and an 8 yr old - it came to about $91 and about $12 for parking next door. (Assorted snacks cost an additional $12.00) That admission price covered the feature exhibit of Dinosaurs - which is a separate room of fake & real fossils. As well as... More

Thank you for sharing your thoughts; here are a few helpful suggestions for others that may read them. For visitors entering the museum just after 10 am opening time, or early afternoon, lineups at the box office are usually short and tend to move quickly, so buying in advance may not be worth the extra charge. However, on rainy summer... More
