Description: Smell the gentle ocean breeze as it lures you away from the dock through...
Smell the gentle ocean breeze as it lures you away from the dock through Victoria’s bustling inner harbour and out into the beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca aboard Tall Ship Thane. All guests young and old are encouraged to participate in sailing; so tug on the sheets that haul the sails. As we begin silently swooshing through the ocean, become mesmerized by the magnificent snow-capped Olympic Mountains and the majesty of the City of Victoria. Relax and savor your picnic or a sip of wine as we keep our eyes peeled for some of BC’s world famous killer whales, or sea lions and bald eagles. Swap tales with other guests and try to stump the crew with questions, we’re rich with history. And if we don’t really know the answer, be prepared for a wee tale!

We went on both the afternoon 3 hour sail and the evening sail. They are very different experiences. The afternoon goes out of the harbor and you get the sails up and go more. Its more about the sailing experience. Evening is more of a cruise around the inner harbor while the sun goes down, maybe get sails up, maybe... More

Super friendly and knowledgeable, very relaxing and nice experience out on the water. This isn't for adventure seekers, but if you want to have a nice day out on the water with a glass of wine and friends, look no further! And you can help raise the sails and sit out at the front of the boat, which is beautiful.... More

Rob and his crew are the best and most gracious hosts we experienced on our visit. We had never sailed before and were anxious to experience and learn the bare basics. They allowed us to participate in the operations of the ship while patiently answering our millions of questions. From the second we stepped on board we were confident we... More

we were so pleased with our walking history tour given by Nicole combined with the gorgeous sunset cruise. Ron and Sheery were gracious telling us about their lives, the history of the hand built, incredibly Eco-friendly ship and maritime tales all while guiding us through the inner harbor. They placed a high regard on our safety as well as our... More

Going out on a sailing ship was on my friends bucket list, so we booked an afternoon sail. The couple who own the ship were very friendly, as was Pete, the Captain. The day turned out to be a lot calmer than we had originally anticipated, but Rob and Pete did everything they could to get us in the wind.... More

We were given the impression that we were going to be given a bit of a history lesson about the area. Sail and if there was not any wind at least putt around a bit. But no wind meant get us out to the edge of the harbour and drift like being on an air mattress. If i didn't have... More

Took hubby for a sail. Being a prairie boy, he has always wanted to go sailing. Having been thwarted by the weather a few times, we lucked out with beautiful weather. the seating is not the most comfie, but the sailing was amazing. we didn't get too far as there wasn't a lot of wind, but the peacefulness of just... I recently surprised my husband with a 3 hour sail. He has always wanted to sail and this was a perfect way for him to experience it. Luckily we had wind and could raise the sails! It was a great morning and Rob and Pete were eager to answer questions. It was a cold morning and they provided blankets, extra... More

My friend and I just spent the most wonderfully relaxing evening on the sunset tour with 3 Hour Sail. The evening was perfect and Rob was the most incredible host. I am a local in Victoria and would not hesitate to recommend this tour to friends and family. I expect I will be out again before the summer is over.
