Great crew, great boat, great service. This cast of characters indulged us to a treat of breaching whales and shared a ton of knowledge too. Thanks for the great photos!

We had a great ride and did spot a whale, dolphins and sea lions but they said we were out at the end of the season so it was a bit slow. The ride was great and the crew on our level went out of his way to make sure we knew what we were seeing. I would recommend this... More

Exceeded our expectations! We've been on many small-boat wildlife excursions internationally and this ranked with the best. Chose this specially-made boat as Zodiacs can be rocky in rough waters (though water was smooth as glass that day) but didn't want a large retrofitted boat. it was very comfortable with accessible views inside & out, a head, coffee, water & tea.... I hate posting negative reviews but hopefully it will help them to improve what is a fantastic wildlife experience - looking for Orcas off Victoria. This was our 4th whale-watching tour on Vancouver Island (2 in Tofino & 2 in Victoria) & each of the other 3 offered a far better experience than Five Star. The problem was nothing to... More

Good afternoon TravellerAbuDhabi, First I would like to thank you for taking the time to inform us of the events that you felt transpired that day. We take every review, negative or positive, very seriously. I am pleased that in spite of your experience you were able to see whales! As for what you deemed inappropriate behavior amongst the crew... More

A last minute trip was arranged by my hotel receptionist as he knew and recommended them, and he came up trumps. Very professional they have a fast and smooth covered boat, not too big, but with free coffee etc and toilets. They also have a lifetime whale-watcher who is in constant touch with spotters etc. so these guys get you... More

This company has it's office right behind the Empress and you board just a block or so away in the harbor. The boat is a catamaran with a decent restroom (small, but better than the inflatables). They provided a lot of information and answered questions knowledgeably. We thought they seemed to be more professional than what we seen of the... More

The boat was very comfortable with an enclosed area, bathroom, and free coffee/hot chocolate. The open area top filled up quickly. We chose to stand outside in the open front area of the boat. It started off beautiful. We could see jelly fish and sea lions every so often in the water. After about 45 minutes we were absolutely freezing... More

From the comfortable vessel, complete with bathroom facilities, to the friendly and knowledgeable marine biologists on board, we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We were privileged to see Orcas from three different pods, including a one week old baby orca, several humpbacks, sea lions and seals. The outing from start to finish was first rate, exciting and an... More

Here I am posting yet another positive review for this whale watch company. While visiting family in Southern California I've gone on a whale watching excursion .... however that pales in comparison to this outing and with this company. We were in Victoria last month, which is part of the primetime season for seeing Orcas (both resident and transient killer... More

We have been out with this company a couple of times and are never disappointing. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. The boat is perfect for whale watching and the staff make great coffee and hot chocolate! Once the whales were spotted, the staff made sure we could view them from an appropriate distance; we could tell they had... More
