This was a first trip for our family, it was a fun visit for all. Loads to see in the museum and everyone had a great time. We were told while there that there is much more, if they can secure a larger location they can bring out more... can't wait! well worth the visit.

Here is a joy to see in the Bastion Square when you are there. The museum is a hidden gem that most people overlook, please don't. If you have any nautical bones in your body this museum will please, remember to take in the museum at HMCS NADEN as well - they both tie in together well.

The Maritime Museum has a great collection of artifacts and presents information in a detailed, updated, easy to view way. The museum provides a great overview of maritime activity along the west coast. The building itself is rather neat to explore too!

Amazing collection of artifacts in a fantastic location however because of lack of funding it is poorly organized. They do have the oldest working birdcage elevator in North America which is worth checking out

A wealth of information about all maritime history here on the west coast - under the water, on the water, and along the shore. Facinating pictures and atifacts, and info about wrecks and all the boats that plied these waters.

I'm a fan of maritime museums and have seen some great ones around the world. This small museum built inside Victoria's first concrete building and the original colony courthouse is a small gem. Some unique and interesting exhibits and a good history of BC Ferries.

What a great museum with an interesting twist of history. Housed in the old court house, you get a lot more than what you anticipate.
