This is interesting to see and its right next to the museum. You get to look inside the chamber of parliament and get a feel for the history of how it has developed in BC. Looks great at night lit up.

Took the free 30 minute tour of the Government House. Learned a great deal about the history of Victoria and the Parliament.

We didn't spent too much time there, because we arrived late in the afternoon, so we just passed through quickly. But the gardens are very beautiful and well kept.

The gardens are lovely but the gem is the costume museum with a fine collection of historical dresses and accessories. The museum docents were very knowledgable. A wonderful place to visit in Victoria.

The gardens at the end of June were in full bloom. It's a lovely setting and has great views of the ocean.

The ceremonial home for the people of British Columbia and the appointed representative of the Queen of England - with wonderful gardens, great views, a beautiful tearoom, a costume museum, tours and all kinds of events, like concerts on the lawn in July

We spend a few hours wandering the very well tended gardens here at Government House. A number of volunteers were tending the garden while we were there and offered information regarding the particular area they were working in. There is a small cafe/tea room that serves sandwiches, soups and quiches with a deck that is lovely to dine on when... More

The government house or Parilment building is a must see. 45 minute tours(free) are offered which takes you through the hallways with the many paintings and statues. You also visit the house chambers with its English type furniture and arrangement. The history of the building was very interesting. At night one must return to see this building lit up. Strings...
