Always wanted to take a train through the Canadian Rockies. We decided to splurge and take the Whistler Mountaineer from Vancouver to Whistler in the Glacier Dome car. What a spectacular ride! Picked up from our downtown Hotel by coach to the train. A cold Ham,cheese & egg roll with a packet of fruit , Juices, Tea,Coffee and soda pops was breakfast included in price. Did this train trip in September 2008. I overnighted in Whistler, but you can do this as a day trip, with several hours in Whistler for looking around.
