In our short stay in Vancouver we had two visits to Steamworks. Food very good, excellent buzzy atmosphere and great beer. We asked our very friendly waitress for recommendations on the beers and she came up with 5 samples which was good fun to try as well as a learning experience. Could have stayed here along time. Well recommended.

Had a great night at Steamworks. The atmosphere is what made it for me. The staff was friendly and the decor was interesting. I couldn't stop staring at the gargoyles on the lower floor. The selection of beers was amazing and they even had a slushie girly drink for me as I am not a huge fan of beer. Try... More

First, I am not a drinker so cannot comment on the beer. I attended with a large group of around 30. We made five separate reservations to avoid some surcharge (someone else made the reservations). I was impressed by the sheer size of the facility and the number of diners it can accommodate. I found the service good, very friendly,... More

This is my 2nd time going. The food was good, the beer was good, the service was a tad lacking, however. Just be aware the bathrooms are in the basement, accessed via somewhat of a maze.

I've been to Steamworks on multiple occasions and have generally had good experiences. They have a decent beer selection and the service has been good. I was pretty disappointed by them this time. The food was average at best. The service was very lack luster... inattentive, minimal effort. Although it has a decent view, I'm not sure I'm coming back... More

It is a good place to go after you have been exploring Gastown or other places nearby. You can sit at a table or, like me sit at the bar and sample some of the beers. The stout wasn't quite my taste but the Empress IPA was nice. They have a beer of the day every day. There are quite... More

Stopped in for some mid-evening thirst quenching. Ordered a flight of beers and was very satisfied; the oatmeal stout was very flavorful and the Pale Ale was quite interesting...started like an IPA but did not finish like one! Overall, this place is located in a nice spot and the venue is cool and the brewing technique used is fantastic!

Stopped in to kill time before meeting friends and enjoyed being served by Howie at the bar. Took his suggestions on the ales and loved them. He entertained us, took care of tables, assisted other servers, and did this all at the same time with great professional ease...he was fun to watch in action. Steamworks Brewery was a good stop!

This place is just around the corner from the Gastown steam clock. We arrived on a Saturday night for dinner. The place was very busy but it has a ton of seating. Without reservations we were seated downstairs among lots of TVs showing different sporting events. The waiter was very nice, attentive, and provided lots of recommendations. We each ordered...
