My first visit to the Commodore to see The Devil Makes Three (Sold Out). Doors opened at 8, we got there about 20 minutes early and stood in a decent sized line. Doors opened promptly at 8, the line moved quickly and we were able to get a small table on the first tier next to the dance floor. Bar... More

My first experience at the Commodore Club. Geat venue for a party that's for sure. I attended a wedding. Two levels in the club, multiple bas, stage for band and DJ set-up. Very popular place to go and see the latest bands in Vancouver. Totally enjoyed it.

We have been to 22 concerts in the last year and a half. This is the fourth Vancouver venue we have traveled from California to see an Alternative Rock band play. Tonight we saw The Airborne Toxic Event This is the third time we have seen them play. We made arrangements with Tracey from Live Nation to reserve a booth... More

We watched 'Big Wreck' perform here and had an amazing night. We had reserved seating ahead of time which meant we got to skip the line up and get escorted straight to our table. There was plenty of room to move around, even on the floor. Security was great. Service was great. It was clean and the ginger beer was... More

The character, good sound and atmosphere of this place makes going to a concert there rarely a bad choice. The floor used to have horse hair under it to create a bounce when you danced but sadly that was removed years ago (fire hazard or some such thing). This is one of the few live music venues in YVR while... More

I enjoyed the interpol concert. We got there early to get some seats. The layout is better than venues in Portland where I'm from.

I love when I see a band I love is coming to town and playing the commodore, the atmosphere is electric. Make sure to make it there early if you want to sit and have a table otherwise the place gets packed!

First, all the charm of the old Commodore has disappeared and replaced by some cold austere 'modern' look. That would be OK if it was done with style. The interior looks like a 'wannabe' hip place which it's not. It would have been far 'hipper' to leave the original velvet banquets and chandeliers. We were charged $60 a ticket to... More

When booking a ticket to a musical act in Commodore, go prepared. The atmosphere is great, often bringing in those bands on the cusp (or on their 2nd or third resurgence). The mix is, sorry for the wording, a bit mixed. In this venue the bands really need a pro to get it just right as it can be tricky.... More

Went to the Nazareth/Headpins concert on Sat.June 28. While the music was good the accomodations were HORRIFIC!!! While there Were tables and chairs available in the Mezzanine level we weren't allowed to sit there. We had to stand for the entire show while the tables and chairs (appr.100) were left empty. Told by security that not only could we Not... More
