A small Improv theatre with capable performers. The show we saw (TheatreSports) was a whole lot of fun and all without being full of vulgarity and sex jokes. Not that we are too sensitive for vulgarity and sex jokes, but it's nice to see that somebody still knows how to be funny without them. As a result, you don't have... More

we came to town to spend new year's eve and jan. 1st with family. our hosts bought the 6 of us tickets to this comedy event. we took a city bus near their home, which dropped us off within blocks of here, free on new year's eve! situated on granville island, under the burrard street bridge, a fun area. we... We had never been to theatersport before. we had a package deal from the hotel so went to Christmas Queen 2 at 7:30. I didn'/t think I was going to stop laughing. we had purchased tickets to the 9:30 show and it was even funnier than the first. we will be back.

My husband and I enjoyed a great and belly busting Friday night date here and we're pleasantly surprised. Great performance, good drink selection, comfortable theatre. Highly recommended!

Back again for another night of crazy laughs, the players are always great! Amateur night is always a highlight too, and if you can definitely go to a late night show when all the filters disappear!

I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We decided to come a little earlier which turned out to be a good idea because picking up our tickets were a breeze (I'd suggest booking your tix online to make sure you get a good seat) and because we got seats in their lounge/bar area (there isn't a lot... Good laughs but the improvised lighting, sound effects and random pop songs were very confusing to me. It compretly distracted from the humor and honestly would have been so much better without. Also, the "host," weird that they had one, kept telling us when to clap. The whole night had this game show feel to it. In improv I've always... More

I never miss an opportunity to see this. Absolutely hilarious, and completely unscripted so no two shows are the same! Vey similar, but in my opinion, better than "Whose Line is it Anyway". You'll laugh until your cheeks hurt! On Fridays and Saturdays you'll see the Classic theatre sports, all-ages shows at 7:30 and 9:30, and then a third, more... More

we picked up cheap tickets for this show are the visitor center in town. tickets were $10 which we thought was a steal. the theater is on Granville Island which in itself is a really cool place to visit. the show was quite funny if not amateurish and very short. that explained the price and it was worth the $10.

I have been to VTSL a few times and it never disappoints. To see the actors make up new material each time is truly amazing and you really begin to appreciate their unscripted natural talent. quite often, my face will hurt from laughing so hard at everything from pratfall humour to very intelligent comebacks. Absolutely a must see attraction on... More

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
