You can go here when you want to ask the ocean to hear your problems. You can also go here with your dog because there is an awesome beach where the dogs play. It is a place to go and be quiet and really enjoy the beauty of the ocean. You can be loud there too...but I mostly like to... More

Such a fun place to go and take your dog. Keep an eye on the tide tables to make sure you're out there in the summer at low tide. Many tide-pools and very warm lots of places for dogs to run and have fun

Beach is well maintained & great surveillance. Dogs are absolutely not allowed anywhere on the sand. You CAN find shade and there are clean bathrooms and a concession for food, drinks & ice-cream.

I love seeing the sun setting facing the west from anywhere along the at least 3 or more beaches along Spanish Banks. Drive out along 4th avenue or take a bus or walk, all good.

We discovered Spanish Banks only on our last day in Vancouver and wished we could have had more time to explore. The views over the water, whcih included ships, mountains, and to the east the downtown core were just wonderful. Because it was low tide, we saw people walking out on the flats were normally water would be. There is... More

Loved Spanish Banks - the views, trail system for both walkers and bikers - and a dog beach the end. Great place to look out over the mountains and beyond the horizon.

I went to this beach for a BBQ, and to be honest the beach at this part of the city has something different that make it more attractive to me, maybe is that it is not as crowded as Spanish Bay and is a wide, open sandy beach with a nicer view (the Northshore and the mountains behind). So far,... More

I really like this section of the English bay. It is probably my favorite beach in Vancouver. You get an excellent view of the mountains and ocean. Plus there 's plenty of free parking. It's very hard to find parking in Kitsilano section of English bay and of course the section in downtown.

Spanish Banks is on the west side of Vancouver and is a lovely place to walk - either in the water (when the tide is out) or along the path. It's also a great place to bike in this very cycle friendly city. The view of Vancouver and West Vancouver is beautiful and you can also count the freighters waiting... More

This a great place to come to hang out on the beach or stroll along and take in the views of the city. You can watch a wonderful sunset and get a break from the fast-paced Vancouver scene.
