Had a great time here and enjoyed the scenery and did a lot of walking around to take in all the beauty that was provided.

A Panaroma of epic mountains and great views of the city! Spent most of my Vancouver days just chilling at this beach and taking in the view!

Great view of stanley park and vancouver skyline. Can see all of north van and opposite side also. Beautiful beach with decent sand to play games on. Wide strip of beach allows more room to move around. Volleyball nets and post for nets are all over the beach. Parking is free. Family oriented beach. Good place to have family bbq.... More

I recommend going at low tide so you can walk a km off shore and enjoy the view from out there. Lots of people do skim boarding so cool to watch them glide and wipe out and try again. Loads of logs on the beach to sit on and relax and plenty of beach volley ball courts as well. Loads... More

This is a very nice place to go kayaking and also a great place to view the fireworks on the Festival of lights celebration. I had nothing but awesome memories of that place, and I also had a good memory of taking a few dates there as well.

We had a picnic and just enjoyed walking in the water at this beach. It was kind of crowded, but we used some of the logs to relax against while eating our food. Parking may be tough to get on crowded days in your desired spot.

Spanish Banks is always beautiful -- with stunning views of Howe Sound, north shore mountains and downtown Vancouver. If you can get there at a low tide, you're in for a special treat, because you can walk out over miles of sand bars, and it feels like you're in the middle of English Bay. The best low tide is at... Compared to Kitsilano and English Bay, there are more families on this beach. The water wasn't very clean so we didn't go in.

This is a lovely, spacious destination. food services are available. It faces North so it can be cool there. Parking is good, but on a good summer day, get there early.

We visited in July and the water is warm enough to swim(and we have swam in the warm tropics)..its warmer than beaches around Stanley Park. Locarno beach is closely and rates just as well.
