My wife and I walk the beaches of Spanish Banks every summer weekend. Best to get their early for free oceanside parking. Dogs friendly beach area and get there 30 minutes before low tide to enjoy the sand banks. . . . . . awesome ocean, city and mountain views . . . . . the absolute best!

My favorite beach to play beach volleyball and it is more secluded than other beaches because it is harder to get to than others this one is further towards the university of British Columbia. You can take one bus here from Burrard street in down town. A must see beach

Spanish Banks goes on forever, but it creates amazing vistas and includes great picnicking beaches. Don't be limited to the stretches by Jericho Beach. Rent a bike and explore it end to end.

Lovely beach where you can do lots of things from having a picnic to volleyball to dog walking to jogging...the limit is your imagination and how legal said activity is.

Locals and visitors love it. Kids are delighted by the fact that when the tide is out we can walk out on the wet sand almost to the ships at anchor in the harbour. Please don't bring a radio to this contemplative space of utter beauty.

Beautiful beach area with tidal sands for walking and enjoying, the views over English Bay, the city and the North shore mountains. A must in the summer months.

There are many beaches along the sea side. But this is the best. It has grassy areas if you would like to BBQ and play on the grass. And it's more for families. If you are a younger Kits beach is where it's at. That's where all the young babes. Or if your seeking one... But Spanish banks is where... More

Get there early as parking could be difficult. There are concession stands that sell refreshments and food. There are washroom facilities. Favorite for joggers, bikers, beach volleyballers. The beach has logs on the sand and it serves as barriers for winds and also gives those lovebirds some privacy. The water is generally cold and not clear like those you see... More

A wonderful beach stretching about 2 kilometres or more, only a short drive from downtown Vancouver. There is a gravel path for walking or cycling behind the beach or just lay in the sand, relaxing and enjoying the expansive view. At low tide, their are mud flats with tidal pools to explore or show off your skim boarding skills. Indoor... More
