We walked out of the terminal at the airport and onto the train which took us within four blocks of our hotel. The train felt safe and it was clean.

The sky train is completely computer operated; no employees on board. Overall, I found it a great way to visit Vancouver and did not find it difficult to use. It is a little pricey and you pay the fare based on zone. seniors get a nice discount. No one checks tickets, but there is a $175 fine if you get... More

I have not taken skytrain in something like 12 to 15 years, but a recent trip to the coast had me taking the sea bus, then Skytrain back to Surrey. We took the expo line (Or as my sister & her friends call it the Ghetto line). We rode one of the original (built in 1986) cars that has no... More

For only $2.75 you can travel with your luggage to Vancouver on the Skytrain. The ride takes only 25 minutes on a safe, secure train. There is plenty of room even for large bags. It is just a short walk to the terminal from the train....

This was cost effective and convenient for us. We saved some money by renting and returning our car in the city as opposed to the port ( where we arrived) or returning it at the airport ( our departure point). We returned the rental, walked a couple of blocks to the Vancouver train station then grabbed the sky train back... More

Fast, cheap, and reliable form of transportation if traveling by yourself or 2-3 people. Otherwise taxi would be cheaper as this cost 9 canadian dollars one way per person and taxi cost 34-40 canadian dollars from YVR to downtown Vancouver.

Very easy to use. The stations and trains are clean. Possibly a little expensive when going to different zones.

Public transport is usually not seen as a good thing, but this was not the case here. I thoroughly enjoyed this one at least! It was clean, fast (waiting times are not too much, they come pretty quickly), and super easy to use and get around Vancouver. I'd recommend getting a daypass for the whole day and not a single... The skytrain which has three lines including the Canada Line to the airport is part of an efficient, integrated and cheap public transport system. The day passes are particularly good value.

I found out about this on Trip Advisor and was so glad I did. It was so easy - tickets are cheap ( about $4.75) and I took it right to my hotel down at the Waterfront - about a 40 minute trip. That same ride in a cab is about $ 35.00 so it's so worth it.
