The sky train was a convenient and inexpensive way to get around. Be aware that once you get close to downtown the train is underground so you don't get to see the city from above.

There were many trains and the wait was only a few minutes. The best place to sit in right in front facing forwards. Ashamed that many young ones sat while more senior people hung on to the poles.

We choose to use the metro train service from the airport to downtown Vancouver to see how easy it is. Once exiting the terminal we made our way to the train platform just outside the terminal by following the signs, it was easy. Once on the platform we purchased a one way 2hr ticket, full fare for $9.50. 30 minutes... More

It was possible to explore many more parts of the city that would otherwise have been inaccessible. Trains were clean and on time and conveniently scheduled. Passengers were a bit unpredictable in their willingness to offer disabled/senior seats. I'd say about 30% were willing to offer up their seats, which I greatly appreciated.

Only $9.75 for a full day pass all zones including airport to downtown on the Canada line. Clean, no graffiti and safe.

From the airport, we took the sky train instead of a taxi cab. It is a much cheaper way to get to Vancouver if you don't have a lot of luggage. It is very easy as it is right there in the airport and you can get off in the center of Vancouver or at the waterfront if you are... More

We've used SkyTrain during each of our three visits to Vancouver in the past 17 years. It's fast, efficient, prompt, and the above-ground parts of the routes provide an interesting view of Vancouver's urban landscape and magnificent scenery. We rode the new-for-the-2010-Olympics Canada Line from/to airport/downtown during our most recent visit; it's infinitely better (cost, speed, viewing) than the old... More

We use Sky Train just about every day we are visiting Vancouver and would be lost without it!! We have learned to keep off during rush hour especially when we have travelling luggage as all trains are very full. Then other time to watch for is when there is anything on at BC Place or Roger's Arena. The newer trains... More

Quick, clean and very convenient. Station not easy to find on way back - the main station advertises "Sky train" but that appears to be the name for the whole transportation system.

This was a great way to travel, especially with a mobility scooter. We met a young employee of the SkyTrain who helped directing us to our destination; he even radioed ahead to another man who directed us to where the bus would pick us up. Wonderfully friendly people and clean, user-friendly facilities.
