Playland is part of the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) fairgrounds in Vancouver and is BC's most famous amusement park. Playland features exhilarating rides and attractions, exciting midway games, mini-golf, a climbing wall, arcade and a variety of delicious food. Playland offers over 30 rides and attractions, including three exciting roller coasters. One of the most loved and talked about attractions at Playland is the historic Wooden Roller Coaster. This spectacular coaster has been operating at the park since 1958 and is cited as a "Coaster Classic" by the American Coaster Enthusiasts organization, which is an honour shared by only 22 other wooden coasters in the world. For the more adventurous visitors, there is the Corkscrew roller coaster which takes thrill-seekers upside down with a double helix inversion and the extreme swing ride Atmosfear, which takes you up 218 feet in the air while spinning 70km/hour. And new to Playland this year is The Beast, an extreme thrill ride that will have you screaming in terror before you even get strapped in! For those wanting a slower pace, there's a variety of rides including the Westcoast Wheel, a ferris wheel that gives you views of the entire city. Unique to Playland is Kids Playce, an area designated for parents and families with children between the ages of 2-10. Kids Playce provides the perfect setting for families looking to spend some time together in a clean, safe and kid-friendly environment. In 2013, two new rides were added to Kids Playce: Teacups and Balloon Explorers. Playland is open from May to September. In October, Fright Nights possesses Playland. Face your fears at Western Canada's scariest Halloween event. Experience Fright Nights' seven spine-chilling haunted houses: Asylum, Darkness, FEAR, Car-N-Evil, Haunted Mansion, Hollywood Horrors, and the new Keepers Doll Factory; 13 petrifying rides; 66 nightmarish 'scarers' and grotesque nightly shows, which all promise an exhilarating and terrifying Halloween experience.

Playland is an excellent destination for families and teenagers alike. Plus, if you like exciting rides this has two roller coasters and many other extreme rides. You get a pass for all rides and get around the site fairly easy to get in the lineups. Lots of food stalls with mini donuts as a local favourite. The wooden roller coaster... More

Over 30 rides and attractions for the family. Most of the rides need at least 3 ft tall to play. Buy ticket on line or 7-11 and save $3 each.

This place has not been updated in eons. Rickety rides, horrid food. I go once a year, due to tradition, and wish i was at Disney each time.

My daughter (5yrs old) loves this place. She's on the smaller side and there are lots of rides for her. it's better to bring along a friend for her as it's more fun that going on the small rides with mommy or daddy. We prefer to go there when PNE is closed because it's just way too busy with too... More

There are many rides for all ages. The world famous wooden roller coaster will toss you around and creak to give you a ride that you'll never forget. There's a tamer corkscrew coaster, as well as other spinning, swinging, or flipping rides. You can save a few dollars and pre-buy a day pass at Safeway or 7-Eleven. Baskin N Robins... More

The rides are awesome! My kids love this place. Lots of little shacks with different types of food. The mini donuts are wicked! Good sized midway with plenty of games to play. Recommendation, bring a packsack with water and snacks & it won't put as much of a dent into your pocketbook. Overall, well worth the price of admission and... More
