If you like to swim outside, this is the pool for you! 137.5 metres long! The play pool for kids can be windy but there are a few kid slides (toddler, big kid sizes) and a grassy area for picnics where you can be warm. Athletes will love to swim here May 20 - end September. Food nearby at concession... More

The views and snow capped peaks during winter are beautiful. The serenity and clear green waters of the pool are inviting, even in winter.

This outdoor pool is a fixture in Kitsilano, and is located right on the edge of the ocean. Nicely warmed, the 175 metre length provides a calm challenge for longer swims.

The best place ever for doing laps while enjoying the sunshine and a great view of Vancouver besides. The water is partly salt water so doesn't hurt your eyes as much. There is a large wading area for toddlers that has a very gently slope. The lap swimming area is separated from the play area. Be prepared for 70 year... More

Just beyond the Western end of Kits Beach there is a very large municipal swimming pool open from late May to September. It is of mixed sea and fresh water having a shallow splashing and kiddy pol separate area at one end, dressing rooms and lockers, bathroom and just outside a snack bar with water, pop, hot dogs and chips,... Nice salt pool with beach view, it's pretty large, in the center of Kitsilano, next to the most popular beach, park and has plenty of nice restaurants nearby!

An institution for hard core swimmers in Vancouver, its location in the Kits beach park area makes it one of the main attractions on Vancouver's west side. Amazing views! Can there be a pool anywhere else that seems endless once you begin your swim?

At 137 metres, a swim of one length goes on and on. The water is crystal clear in the sunlight. The view over the water of English Bay with the mountains in the background is spectacular. The water is a comfortable temperature for swimming. This is a nice switch from swimming in the sea at the end of the season... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
