Love to swim when I travel and this has to be one of the best pools. It is so big you just do a couple of laps and you're done!

While incredibly busy on weekends during the summer, the Kitsilano Pool offers a great way to cool off in a controlled environment. Don't let the 100 meter length scare you from doing a few laps along with the regular. The shallow water entry and multiple life guards are there to ensure everyone can have a great time.

This pool is filled partially with salt water, which drastically lowers the chlorine needed for sanitation. It's VERY long, which I like, but which can be tiring for people who want to swim laps, but haven't been used to such LONG laps. It can be very busy mid-day and early evening. BEST times--early morning in the RAIN.

This is a famous salt water pool that is amazing during the hot summer days. No chlorine to deal with and the views of the city and mountains are fantastic.

One of the largest salt water pools in North America features a view of English Bay and the mountains that make you feel lucky you're alive. A great place for a swim and to people watch.

Kits pool is fantastic in the summer for a swim. Heated to around 20-25 degrees celcius, part sea-water, part fresh. It's really long at 137 meters so feels like you are swimming for ever to get from one end to the other! It has shallower areas and dedicated lanes for playing or swimming, respectively.

I swam the length of the Kitsilano Pool which is a 137 metre long, outdoor saltwater heated swimming pool. It overlooks the sea and the city of Vancouver across the bay.

On a very hot day in August, my sister and I first went to the second beach pool but weren't tempted. The Kitsilano Beach Pool pulled us in. We changed in the locker room and then started swimming as well as people watching. A good time was had.

If you are a swimmer, this is THE pool to enjoy. At 150m in length, this is 3x the length of an Olympic pool and the largest in Canada. The water is heated, so even if it is cool out, it is kept just warm enough to ensure a great swim. The pool is a mix of saltwater and chlorine.... More
