I decided to hire a boat when visiting some friends who live in Vancouver and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Beforehand we felt a bit nervous about driving a boat for ourselves but the staff were really informative and it ended up being such a great experience. It's amazing to see the city from the boat,... Hiring a boat was the best way to experience this amazing city and surroundings. Great crew that gave you enough freedom while ensuring that you were safe at all times. We checked all the other rental companies in the area and these guys offered the best value by far. The boats were in great conditions and very well maintained. Highly... More

After a cloudy morning the sun broke through and we thought "lets get on the water"! We were hosting visitors from Australia and wanted to show them the city from the water, plus explore the Indian arm in search of an afternoon swim hole, one they would remember! The guys at the Granville Island Boat Rental were super professional and... More

My wife and I absolutely loved this experience. We only hired the (smallest) boat for an hour, having had precisely zero experience of any kind of boating and so were more than a bit nervous about taking a speedboat out into the harbour area. We shouldn't have been. It was absolutely breathtaking fun - initially we were very slow (there... More

The crew at Granville Island Boat Rentals are so friendly and helpful. They gave us some top advice on where to explore and the best spots to catch the sunset. It was very affordable and the best value we found on Granville Island.

We had nothing but a good experience with this place. Once we got to the front of the line, the process was quick. They gave a good orientation and were able to make recommendations about places to go. The boat worked great and helped us see Vancouver from an angle we otherwise wouldn't have without being on a lame ferry... More

We rented a boat for two hours. We went out to the lighthouse, coal harbor and cruised the bay while watching the sunset and seeing some seals. We had a great experience and highly recommend this company. I saw a few people gave negative reviews for costs. Anyone who owns a boat would absolutely find their prices more than reasonable!... We hired a speed boat for 2 hours and went almost to Deep Cove and back. Saw lots of seals. The boat was in good condition and everything worked. We understood the operating instructions; where to go and not to go, hazards and speeds and the price seemed OK. Recommended.
