Description: Photowalks are a great way to see our beautiful city, learn and practice...
Photowalks are a great way to see our beautiful city, learn and practice the basics of photography, and get out of the automatic setting on your camera! In two hours, we cover exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, composition and basic portraiture. Let's be honest though, it's also a ton of FUN! Lead by a professional photographer, participants are given tools, and an opportunity to explore a popular area (Science World, Convention Centre, English Bay, Coal Harbour, Gastown, Kitsilano or Granville Island) with their cameras, and are given small learning objectives. Introductory classes are offered during the day, and low-light classes in the evening.

I went on Gastown tour with Ekaterina and it was amazing. So the very next day I took another one on Granville Island with Suzanne and it was as amazing. Before I took the first one, I thought what am I going to learn? I know most of things, I have read the books and seen YouTube videos. But then... More

I did the Granville Island evening photowalk with Ekaterina who was just fabulous! I can't believe how much I learned & applied in just 2 hours (so much better than just reading in a book).. composition tips, lots of camera settings and how to adjust for the various photos. We took all sorts of photos while discussing ways to improve... More

My guide (Ekaterina) was awesome: she basically taught me the basic to shoot pictures correctly which was all I cared about since I wasn't looking for a tourist kind of tour. She knew how to explain the theory and put it into practice. Great tine :-)

What a great couple of hours we had with Suzanne on our photowalk. She was happy to cater to a range of abilities, and to work with a range of equipment. Some of us had cameraphones, some had SLRs with all the gear - and there was everything in between too. Suzanne was really knowledgeable in terms of technique, technology... More

My colleagues and I took Gastown photo walk with Suzanne last weekend and I must say it was absolutely a fun thing to do in Vancouver. Most of my colleagues used iPhone or Samsung, I used both iPhone and a camera. No matter what kind of devices that we used we all learned something from her. She taught us from... More

Great way to learn to use your camera and get fantastic shots. Suzanne was amazing to work with with and added a tour to accomodate our needs. As much as I enjoyed learning about night photography it was a bit cold and dark to see the settings on the camera. I look forward to a day tour! Thanks Suzanne

I booked the Olympic Village photowalk with Suzanne, which ended up being a one-to-one session which was fantastic. After 2 hours walking round with Suzanne I went away very happy with lots of great tips and of plenty food for thought on my approach to my photography. Suzanne isn't afraid to give feedback which is so useful for improving my... More

I did the Gastown night photowalk with Suzanne. This was good fun. Suzanne is a motivating upbeat teacher. There were excellent shooting opportunities and I was able to borrow a lens and a tripod.

My husband and I did a three-hour photowalk with Suzanne at Granville Island. The time flew because Suzanne was so professional, organized and informative. Although my husband and I are at different levels in our photography, Suzanne was able to spend equal time with us and accomodate our needs and answer our individual questions. She gave us valuable information about... More
