In two hours, we cover exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, composition and basic portraiture. Let's be honest though, it's also a ton of FUN! Lead by a professional photographer, participants are given tools, and an opportunity to explore a popular area (Science World, Convention Centre, English Bay, Coal Harbour, Gastown, Kitsilano or Granville Island) with their cameras, and are given small learning objectives. Introductory classes are offered during the day, and low-light classes in the evening. « less

Had a great morning with Suzanne doing the Chinatown walk. There were only two in our group, at varying knowledge levels and Suzanne easily accommodated both of our wishes and needs. Very professional and an outstanding communication style. Will do a different walk next time I visit Vancouver.

I've recently been trying to improve my photo skills and like most people I tried to learn the info I needed online but found it incredibly difficulty to put it into practice. This photowalk was suggested to me from a friend and I was hesitant as I wasn't sure it would be useful. Boy was I wrong! I was shown... More

Thank you for reinforcing the fact that it's always better to have hands on photography training rather than sitting in a classroom! We love showing people how to use their cameras better, and demystifying all the buttons and dials. Come back again soon and learn more! More

I went out with Vancouver Photo Walks on the evening of the 19th of Jul and Ekaterina was the professional leading the group. I use the word professional as that is exactly what she was Professional. She was asked many many questions and she did her very best to answer everything at a level that I could understand. She was... More

I admit that I'm not that I fell out of love with my DSLR. Last year I got a micro 4/3 camera and have been having a love affair with that camera. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when my camera died because I spilled a water bottle all over the poor thing. So I'm back to using my... More

Being new to the world of DSLR I've been nervous about thumbling through the fuctions and settings on my camera. Getting familiar with all the technical stuff has wained on my creativity. I took the Gastown night Photowalk with Suzanne, it was fantastic. Not only did I feel more knowledgeable about using my camera, Suzanne also helped with composition, and... More

Here's my thumb in China, here is my thumb in Toronto etc etc. horrible picture taker. We were a small, group and got alot of info and tips on... More

Got a new Cannon SLR and decided I had better learn the correct functions to use to create the photos I want. So signed up for the Olympic Village photo walk. There was 4 of us in the group including my husband who came to learn but we only had the one camera (he took notes). Suzanne was awesome, all... More

Photowalks are a great way to get acquainted with a new camera! A smaller class size is great, because it allows for more individual attention from the instructor. Thank you so much for your review, and we look forward to having you come back on another photowalk! More

I booked my wife for the Olympic Village photo walk with Suzanne and she really enjoyed it which is saying a lot as she's done photo walks in quite a few cities. She was lucky that it was just her and Suzanne for the photo walk so she got a lot of tips and advice on how to shoot which... More

Photo Walk. I have never heard this term until my girlfriend got me a Photo Walk for my upcoming birthday. You join a group of amateur photographers to be tutored in a picturesque location by a professional photographer. Suzanne Rushton of www.feelingphotography.com led our group (which turned out to just be me and a visitor from Perth, Australia) around Granville... More
