Stars seemed to align for me yesterday. Nice weather and my business duties finished up early giving a rare day to myself in Vancouver. I was considering renting a motorcycle but was a bit nervous as I ride infrequently the last 15 years since becoming a Dad. 40 lbs later with some mild joint pain and middle aged neurotic thinking,... Cycle BC Rentals made it easy to rent bikes (Trek - nice!), talked with us at length about our ideas for the day, gave us a map, and off we went! This place also rents scooters, which would have been great, fun, too, and they also have kid hook-up extensions.

Our group decided to get scooters while staying a few days in Vancouver...absolutely the cheapest and best way to travel. The staff at Cycle BC couldn't have been nicer and informative about places to go and things to do. So much so we came back for day #2...Cant wait to get back on those things next time!

The folks at Cycle BC were totally awesome, very friendly, and patient with us. We were all newbies, and they really took their time to teach us how to use our mopeds. In terms of customer service, they were top notch! Cost of moped rental was entirely reasonable and the best prices. Highly recommended if you're visiting Vancouver and want... More

Every year three of us take a motorcycle trip somewhere new. This year we voted on Canada and Cycle BC had the best value to cost ratio based on our research. We weren't disappointed. We opted for the 10 day self guided tour and it was a real pleasure. The itinerary was well planned. The lodging was well selected with... More

My wife and I hired a GS1200 BMW from Cycle BC for an epic 21 day tour of BC, Alberta and N-W USA. We not only received a bike in top condition but got friendly and helpful service from Mike, Dave & Ryan at the shop both at time of delivery and upon return of the bike. Could not have... More

We're riders from Germany, US and Singapore. For one week we rented bikes from Cycle BC in advance. Mike gave us a good deal and prepared every thing well for us. Very nice bikes GS 1200, GS 800, GS 650 and KTM 1190. All are almost new, good maintained and equipped for BC trip. On the pick up day all... More

Hired two bikes to cycle to UBC today - the guys in the hire shop were really helpful, bikes were sturdy and it was nearly half the price of the places by the Convention Centre downtown!

Accommodating, but know what they are doing. I wanted to use my clipless cycle shoes, which I had brought with me from the UK. They basically do 21 speed and 7 speed commuters, with normal pedals - however, they said that if I had a pair, they would fit them, so I bought a pair (lesson for next time, pack... More

What a hidden little gem. Double rider scooters were $35 for the 1st hr and $20 for the next hr or $99 all day. You can also rent motorcycles and bicycles. Price covers insurance and they provide a quick training if you have never ridden. All uou need is a driver's license and credit card. Great way to tour Victoria... More

Staying in Southeast False Creek

Neighborhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
