I felt really uncertain about whether to take the family to a Whitecaps game. Even the locals seemed to be a bit negative about it "The level is going to be a fair bit lower then you guys will be used to back in the UK", "Are you sure about this?". I took the plunge and will always be gland... More

We usually buy club seats because you get perks and game souvenir bags with things like t-shirts, banners, key chains, etc. NOT at BC PLACE! What... More

We went for a caps game. We had a super time and enjoyed the game and the food options. The crowd was nice and rowdy.

Watched the local soccer team win here. Great seating, huge stadium even with half of it closed. If buying alcohol look for the Heineken stand! WAAAY cheaper than the cans.

The stadium is located directly in the city of Vancouver, walkable to almost all the hotels and public transport is easily accessible. I was at the Whitecaps taking on Real Salt Lake and the stadium was electric. The fans are true fans, constantly cheering on their team. The atmosphere was the amazing, completely different than any other sporting event.

Back in the 80s, when it had its original teflon bubble roof, I was part of the effort to bring Major League Baseball to Vancouver and this was the stadium built to house the team. Unfortunately the flat light and pale astroturf made it almost impossible to follow a fly ball. That's not the reason MLB didn't come to Vancouver... More
