Met 4 other couples and walked around Gas Town and China Town with a very knowledgeable young historian. We were given a great tour with interesting sights and information. Vancouver is quite a city with amazing history!

This is a small museum, but it houses a very creepy morgue and a medical room in the back with stainless steel beds. Very spooky. There are plenty of opportunities for photo ops - especially in the jail cell. It's a fun little place.

Took a trolley tour of Vancouver and got off right next to the Police Museum. It is located where the city morgue used to be. After you pay the admission fee, you tour each room where it provides the history of the police force in Vancouver as well as famous crimes that occurred through the years. The back room still... Unlike other smaller museums that seem to just be a bunch of artifacts, this one is very well laid out and takes you through a story of policing over the ages. Plenty of things to see and read about plus interactive exhibits such as the cell with prisoners uniform and of course the rather macabre autopsy room. We expected to... More

We came here and spent 2 1/2 hours and enjoyed our visit very much. There is a fantastic collection of homemade weapons that have been confiscated in Vancouver. It was hard for me to imagine who exactly used these weapons and where they used them but seeing them was great. Brass knuckles and morning stars galore. The museum is in... More

Found the museum to be quite interesting - wish I had had more time to explore before the walking tour - Sins of the City had started We were a small group and had such a great time on our walk through China Town It was a great way to experience the history of Vancouver way back then

A very interesting museum if you have never visited one before. Lots to see, have your mug shot taken and have a go at face recognition and photo fit. It even includes the old city morgue and autopsy room!! Don't miss it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the displays at the Vancouver Police Museum. Lots to see, in this small museum. I thought there might be more with regards to the riots Vancouver has experienced, but I suppose understandable that they'd prefer forget they happened. I would recommend the museum, it exceeded my expectations!

As "tourists in our own town", we signed up for the walking tour "Sins of the City" offered by the Vancouver Police Museum. The two hour guided tour was hosted by a former police officer, now a crime lab specialist, who was clearly well-informed on the history of Vancouver and early policing, vice crime and political corruption. The tour encompassed... More

I enjoyed the walking history tour and the actual museum itself. 2 hours of walking without a place to sit was a bit much, but the items in the museum were informative.
