On one hand, it's just one of the many beaches on both sides of English Bay. On the other hand, they are all nice, and Kitts Beach has a saltwater swimming pool and other facets than differentiate it.

Yes even in Canada, land of the Great White North you can swim in the ocean and not freeze to death. In Kitsilano, just minutes from downtown Vancouver, is a large sandy beach serviced by city change rooms, washrooms and concessions. When we were there in August the sun was hot, the lifeguards were watching from their stands with their... More

Visited this beach a couple of time while I was in Vancouver. Watched the sunset from it once, which was stunning - looking out to sea and back to Vancouver city centre. Beautiful beach with lots to do.

Kits beach had an awesome playground - my daughter spent a really long time running around it and loved it. Toys, swings, climbing things, slides, big roundabouts, and benches for tired parents to sit on it will keep the kids amused for ages, the only hard part is taking them away - this is also completely free! The changing rooms... More

But if you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is probably not the best beach. It's a little further to get to as you'll have to take one of the bridges to cross False Creek or go around it -- it's actually quite a nice ride if you decide to bike it. The beach is really crowded, full of... More

This place is clean, scenic & has good clean facilities. Toddler & husband enjoyed a quick dip in the sea, I went to Starbucks!

So close to the city but with an amazing beach holiday vibe. Would recommend walking back up to the shops for something to eat as the beach side restaurants are over priced and the food looks awful.

Great place for people watching, can be a bit noisy but atmosphere is very lively there. A lot of nice restaurants and cafe nearby so that's a plus.

This is the beach to be at apparently. It was really busy and people were all over the place. They have a dedicated change room and a restaurant here. I found the outer areas to be less crowded and nicer. Bring a water bottle and prepare for the heat. The water is from the ocean, so it can be a... More
