Clean, nice and central

Great place for families. It is clean and has a good atmosphere. relatively easy to park, either on parking lots (costs money) or on the streets around the area.

Turned up for an impromptu swim. Lifeguards on duty and a pontoon to swim out to for extra fun. Really beautiful beach with great facilities and a fabulous view to the city and mountains beyond.

Stroll across the Burrard Bridge, or take a bus, but make sure to visit Kitsilano Beach on a nice day. Take the path along the shoreline, and you'll be treated to some of the most stunning vistas of the beach, water, city, and background mountains anywhere! Hard to imagine it's only a few minutes away from downtown Vancouver.

English Bay will always be gorgeous and, indeed, Kitsilano Beach historically was the best available in Vancouver. Great ice cream at the concession stand! But, on some of Vancouver's extremely hot days this June the place was over crowded and over-run with sun and other bathers. Virtually impossible to walk the shoreline without being run over by crowds of bikini... More

What more can you ask for... Beach, food, playground, strolling, salt water pool, and a whole lot more.

We visit this beach every time we are in Vancouver. Great play structures for the kids, a nice beach for swimming, and plenty of other activities to enjoy. One of our favorite places in town.

Kits beach is a wonderful place to go in order to enjoy friends and refreshments in the sun, witness an amazing Vancouver sunset or play a game of volleyball. In regards to swimming, it is better to find a beach further west like Jericho beach, Locarno beach, Spanish Banks or Wreck breach because they are cleaner (with less seaweed and... More

My husband & I visited Kits Beach over our recent vacation in the Vancouver area. As Arizonans, the water is a bit too chilly for us to swim in the water, so to us it was nice stretch of sand to catch some rays, enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery, & walk along the shoreline. There are logs distributed in the... More

How many cities can boast safe and pleasant swimming just off downtown. What better way to refresh mind and body after a long nay of meetings that a plunge into the Pacific Ocean. During my recent visit to Vancouver for the Academy of Management annual conference for business school professors I managed two such swims between daytime meetings and evening... More
