Attractive cathedral building

Right in the middle of downtown, this cathedral is hard to miss. Worth a stop for a few pics as you walk past. It may even be possible to go inside.

The Cathedral does not make a pretence from the outside, but inside it is very attractive - where wood and marble mixes. Stained-glass windows are magnificent. Made note, it was possible to visit it in broad daylight contrary to many of the other churches through the country, what is everything in its honor.

I loved going in there when there were almost next to no people there. It gave me the opportunity to look at each stained glass window individually and appreciate it. Each window really varies in what time they come from (keeping in mind that the city itself is only 127 years old) and it's interesting to watch the transition. Observe... More

Christchurch Cathedral in downtown Vancouver is represents a lovely mix of old world (especially the stone facade of the exterior and stained glass windows) and the new world with its wood beams and open interior. It may lack the ornate beauty of the great cathedrals of Europe, but this is still a lovely and functioning place of worship.

A place for a thoughts and to get into a peaceful mind. Don't forget to light a candle for someone you like or miss.

Even with tourists around. Still a good quite place to stop n reflect. The architecture itself is beautiful.

We attended Morning Worship and felt very at home from the moment we walked in. Choral music was wonderful and excellent sermon and refreshments afterwards. Thank you.

Lovely old cathedral is worth a visit for its architecture and stained glass. But we went for the brief 9:30 evening Compline service with Gregorian chant and it was sublime.

We loved the tour of the church so much history and what a beautiful calming church with lots of glass in the heart of a very busy city. Come and enjoy some quiet time in the church! If this review was helpful please let me know...

The Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver is well worth a stop. It's the oldest standing church in Vancouver, standing since 1888. That's a long time. The church is very pretty. We've certainly been to more visually impressive cathedrals around the world, but this one has some of the best stained glass windows we've seen. They are incredibly beautiful and certainly... More
