We spent some time at this beach on a recent visit to Vancouver. We thought this was the nicest of the beaches we visited. It is wonderful to have access to such a beach steps away from downtown. The beach itself was clean and bathroom facilities close by as well as other recreational activities and restaurants. The water is dirty though... More

I think there is no prettier place for a walk on a sunny day than along this beach area. The views of the water and across the bay are lovely, you can enjoy the ocean breeze and you are close to shopping and restaurants when you get tired of nature.

This was a lovely beach to visit - mix of sandy, stony, rocky areas. They had logs along the beach as seating areas, but I don't know if this was just for the fireworks (I was lucky enough to be there for the Celebration of Light firework display) or if it's a regular thing.

English Bay is quite a beautiful beach that offers great views of the mountains BUT it's really crowded all the time. However, it's easy to get to and is good for families with easy access to restaurants and the city. If you're looking for a beach that's a little quieter where you can relax and have some sense of peace,... More

The beach was clean & nice to sit in but we did have a self confessed meth addict beside us who was chatting away! We enjoyed the concessions burgers, but the sea seemed less enticing as it was pretty chilly & with the tide out was a but churned with sand! Facilities all clean and well maintained

This is the best, but most crowded, place to view the Celebration of Light fireworks. Great beach for people watching and swimming.

Superb beach especially if you want to watch the annual firework doisplay in August (Lots of crowds and pickpockets but well worth it if you don`t mind a long walk from the car parks as local roads are closed for the event)

great mix of city meets beach, lots of places to have a drink nearby and easy transport links. I wouldn't spend the day here but defiantly worth checking out and having a drink nearby.
