Great beach

Another lovley area. The big western red cedar logs are there to sit on or lean on what a good idea as bugs don't like this wood and is weather proof.

Start your visit to English Bay at Morton Park (Denman and Davie) where the statues of Yue Minjun, A-Maze-ing Laughter, give pause -- for reflection, interpretation and a special photo op. Next go to the water of English Bay to admire and read about the Inukshuk, a gift to Vancouver from the NWT on the occasion of the City's 100th... More

Great beaches...English Bay is a must. Sandy beaches, great swimming and a great place to people watch. Enjoy a delicious hot dog from one of the stands. Best place downtown to watch sunsets in the summer!

I enjoyed all the activity at English Bay. Street performers, people playing music and dancing. Food was available, plus surrounding English Bay is a great neighborhood with lots and lots of interesting food choices.

My husband & I visited English Bay Beach while we were vacationing in the Vancouver area. It seemed like a nice beach to relax & enjoy the views, particularly at sunrise or sunset. There are logs arranged throughout the beach area to sit. Various restaurants & bars are in the area, so you could dine there or get carryout to... More

We enjoyed the beautiful hot weather strolling along the bay with our small dog. Our sister in law joined us with her small dog too. We stopped at a large metal sculpture, watched a heron on the shoreline, had yummy juice smoothies at a cute food truck and really enjoyed the people watching! I recommend visiting during the week in... More

Vancouver's beaches, in good weather (as was the case this summer) are enormous human magnets. Naturally, Beaches surrounding English Bay attract the bathers, the gawkers and those damned and determined to develop skin cancer. But it is the entire surround--the vistas both across to the mountains and West Vancouver/Point Atkinson and the sheer joy of waking the shoreline either on... More

Great place to be, especially in the evening on a fine day to see the glorious sunsets, but always lively during the day too. Clearly, if you visit Vancouver you must visit English Bay too.
