I think, that grouse mountain is not worth the money. You have a very nice view over Vancouver, that is true, but it is not worth the 50 bucks you pay to get on top. Two bears in a small fenced area, a lumberjack show and some birds are simply not enough for that amount of money. there's other places... more

Grouse Mountain is worth visiting for the great views over Vancouver city. The attractions at the top include birds of prey, a lumberjack show and an open chair lift, however the bears are definitely the best! Two grizzlies have been raised after being orphaned as cubs. They have an enclosure created as if it were their natural wild habitat. It... more

For Fathers Day we sent Hubs on a zip line tour on Grouse, which was a huge success. Our luck run out there though. Next we went to the Altitude Bistro upstairs in the chalet. It was so disappointing. I tried not to let it put a damper on our day. First of all, it's not at all family friendly,... more

Recently did Grouse Mountain on a short anniversary trip. My wife and I spent the first half of the day at Stanley Park and didn't even head up to Grouse until 4-5pm with the intention of staying for several hours, eating, etc. Didn't really know what to expect, thought it was just a gondola (sky-tram, cable car, etc.) ride up... more

We wanted to save money, so we hiked up the Grouse Grind instead of taking the gondola up. It was worth it to be able to say that we've done it, but it was more akin to a workout in a busy gym than a pleasant nature hike. If you enjoy the thrill of a physical accomplishment, for instance if... more

We visited end of May 2009. Still some snow but the pathways were clear. The views are wonderful and the Grizzly Bears were out and playing. We also saw the birds of flight show which allowed an up close look at these wonderful birds. The Lumber jack show was well done also. We had a log rolling champion the day... more

the exciting ride up I wished would last forever, then caught a movie (watched the one about the grizzly bears they have at the top too) lunch with a view of the city and we stayed for the sunset which was unbelievable and unobstructed. Ate at the cafe and not the restaurant, but even had a coffee bar. Many trails... more

We buy a family pass annually, do the Grouse Grind a couple of times a week usually followed with food and drinks at the Altitudes Bistro. We have been up three times this... more

I was ready to summit in the early afternoon in early February.Lovely clear day. Spent the morning at Granville Island and the guy on the aquabus said wait for sunset. Went at about 4pm. Stunning views of Vancouver as the sun began to set.Very memorable to sit outside the restaurant with beer in hand.Bonus of the Seabus back to Van... more

What a brilliant city- winter or summer! We arranged private accommodation (house swap through Rent For The Holidays [-] ) near Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver and we had a vacation of a lifetime! We just came back to Florida and the cool Canadian weather was a nice change. Being so close to Grouse Mountain we skied almost everyday (except... more
