Description: Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district...
Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

Warehouse District that has a huge variety of Restaurants and Bars....some eclectic, some not so much. Food for the most part is good, but....pricey!

In the many times that we were at this place we could experience cult shops of design, art, coffee, clothes and stylish people. We also saw movies staff and actor as this part of the city in Vancouver is used a lot to Hollywood movies sets.

These 2 or 4 streets are nice to walk. Lot's of restaurants, bars and small shops and independent boutiques. Buildings look old and are not so high. In the morning it was very quiet, might be busy in the evening.

Trendy eateries, some local and trendy boutiques. Lots of options and things to do along the seawall and the parks.

A really nice suburb to visit for restaurants, some shopping and marina views. Was a bit quiet during the day but I expect that it comes to life in the evenings. Easy to get there via the Aquabus or train depending on where you are located.

We found a fabulous thai restaurant that had a $10 lunch special. It's interesting how this has turned from a warehouse district to a trendy neighbourhood over the past 20-25 years.

Yaletown is part of downtown Vancouver, very quaint with cobble streets. It is a small area with lots of restaurants, shops, tea places, yoga studios and is close to the water. It is a great place to stay as a tourist - although it can get loud at night with the different bars around. Yaletown is a must when visiting... More

We stayed in an apartment here -- chose this neighborhood due to it's proximity to the SkyTrain and other attractions. Lots of places to eat and an easy walk to sites around town.

If you like to explore the various neighborhoods of Vancouver, this should be on your list, but not before you've visited Granville Island and its amazing Public Market (1661 Duranleau St. Open 9am-7pm), Stanley Park and the famous Seawall encircling it, Gastown and the popular Steamclock along the waterfront, and the gorgeous mountains looming over the city. Only then should... More

Worth walking down both streets where the old railway used to be - lots of places to eat and other upscale stores.
