My husband and I recently visited Yaletown while on vacation in Vancouver. We were able to walk there in about 20 minutes from the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. Yaletown is a great place to walk around and viist shops as well as to dine. Tons of restaurants to choose from and the location is very nice. more

Yaletown used to be an old train yard. As downtown Vancouver developed and real estate prices went up the area was developed main;y in one massive development into a high rise condo neighborhood. I will preface by saying I live in suburban America, so maybe what is expensive to me is not to someone used to living in large cities. We stayed in a condo in Yaletown, and the area is very nice. Yaletown is really two main streets from what I could tell: Hamilton and Mainland. Now HERE is where you'll find small, indie shops cool restaurants and cool people. Hit this neighborhood on a sunny day, and sit down at any of the restaurants or coffee shops and enjoy the atmosphere. This place rocks, with its cobblestone streets and bohemian vibe... more

this place is great for people who love fashion, good quality food, and indulgence. It has everything: salons, cafes, cute little stores, and great restaurants. I highly recommend these places: -Shirubay, a hip Japanese fusion restaurant -Fine Finds, my favourite little boutique with clothes, accessories, and other miscellaneous stuff -The Cross, they sell a lot of shabby chic furniture and decoration for... more

Yaletown has everything you need. The best part was when i needed documents shipped and faxed out i was able to walk over to PostNet, a print, pack and ship centre, and a full service business centre. The shops are amazing and the shopping is great as well. The seawall calls for an amazing night stroll as well. more
