This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios. « less

Yaletown has a lot of fun restaurants, tapas and coffee shops. Be aware some of the eateries are quite expensive. You can take the foot ferry over to Granville island from Yaletown. The sky train also stops at Yaletown. Great place to look over false creek and people watch.

Multiple restaurants to choose from with nice outdoor patios. We ate at Earls, The Keg, Starbucks. All were great. Good place to hang out, grab a drink, grab a bite or gather with friends.

Lots of restaurants. Neat area. Sky train stop nearby. Close to everything. Ate at the Cactus Club on their patio.

We watched the dragon boat races, sat outside and had a cold beer. Very relaxing, everyone was nice, view was amazing and I loved seeing all the dogs going for a walk:)

With its many upscale restaurants and unique shops nestled in old buildings and warehouses, Yaletown has a charm all its own. Great for meeting friends, may be not so much for families with young children. For the tourists, it is within walking distance from the downtown area. The pavers on some sections of street may prove challenging to some.

Comfortable restaurant and shop area in a centric area of Vancouver. The place is very nice and its a gathering place for a lot of the office workers for lunch and for after office cocktails. Prices of the restaurants are a little steeper than in other areas and the shops are not that cheap either so if you don't want... More

A nice little walking area. Well sort of. What was great to see was the warehouses and how they turned these into restaurants and shops below with apartments on some of them above. Saw how dog owners left their doggy messes on sidewalk in a particular areas which was a turn off. Please watch your step. Didn't see any place... More

Cool home furnishings and kitchen shops dot this area next to upscale boutiques -- a fun area to just walk and window shop.

Yaletown is a very hip and trendy part of Vancouver. There are many different options of restaurants with all kinds of cuisines. We enjoyed Glowbal Grill and Blu Water Cafe. You will also find very nice boutiques and shops.
