Description: Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district...
Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

Yaletown is part of downtown Vancouver, very quaint with cobble streets. It is a small area with lots of restaurants, shops, tea places, yoga studios and is close to the water. It is a great place to stay as a tourist - although it can get loud at night with the different bars around. Yaletown is a must when visiting... More

We stayed in an apartment here -- chose this neighborhood due to it's proximity to the SkyTrain and other attractions. Lots of places to eat and an easy walk to sites around town.

If you like to explore the various neighborhoods of Vancouver, this should be on your list, but not before you've visited Granville Island and its amazing Public Market (1661 Duranleau St. Open 9am-7pm), Stanley Park and the famous Seawall encircling it, Gastown and the popular Steamclock along the waterfront, and the gorgeous mountains looming over the city. Only then should... More

Worth walking down both streets where the old railway used to be - lots of places to eat and other upscale stores.

This is the kind of place where people who are uncomfortable with the downsides that come with most major urban areas can feel like they are still in the heart of things. This enclave of shops, bars and restaurants is upscale and trendy. While there are still too many chain restaurants for my taste, there are unique stores and galleries... More

If you like bars then Yaletown offers something for you. It has some restaurants too but other than that not much else. The area which is full of featureless glass buildings has a yuppyish feel.

My husband and I went exploring Yaletown to get to know Vancouver a little better. The area had some neat, but expensive shops and a lot of places to eat! The architecture is in cool sort of preserved and modernized warehouse feel to the area.I love how Vancouver would rather re-purpose its existing structures rather than rip down and start... More

This area was originally warehouse and loading docks but is no super hip with galleries, restaurants, specialty stores a brewery and did I say restaurants? I am talking about an amazing number of restaurants offering most any type of cuisine you could want. If you are looking for good American fare then you need to stop into the Yaletown Brewery....
