Description:

Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district....

Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

I work in downtown but love to stay in Yaletown when visiting. All the my favorite gyms like "Ride" and "Barre Fittness" are just down the street. Coco coffee is amazing and Choices grocery is perfect for stop in snacks.

I could have walked the streets of Yaletown for a while. It was almost as if you were in a different place. The buildings are different and beautiful but the streets are the most gorgeous. Rows and Rows of trees, tree lined beautiful streets. Some places to eat as well

A great area to find unique restaurants. Most are trendy urban style that would remind one of New York City hot restaurant districts such as Tribeca or Hells Kitchen just off Broadway. Look around and explore ... this is our where our more modern highrise yuppie living is happening nearby in Vancouver.

So this area is pretty cool, with great restaurants, bars, pubs, and a few art galleries thrown into the mix. The Area is not pretentious, it just exists, and people from everywhere, co exist, in this great area. Some of the interiors are still being rehabbed, I wouldn't mind finding a place in the area, it's just that nice.

This area of Vancouver is a hidden gem. Recycled warehouses and office space turned into hip restaurants and cute shops. Access is easy by foot, sky train or car. There are a suprising amount of parking spaces available in this great neighbourhood. If you are coming from out of town, the easiest access is by sky train. There is a... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
