Description: Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district...
Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

This area was originally warehouse and loading docks but is no super hip with galleries, restaurants, specialty stores a brewery and did I say restaurants? I am talking about an amazing number of restaurants offering most any type of cuisine you could want. If you are looking for good American fare then you need to stop into the Yaletown Brewery.... the area was a little odd to me, I couldn't quite work out what it wanted to be but I enjoyed it. importantly though it was full of great places to eat and drink and had a wide choice. worth going just for a meal actually visited august 2013 but only just getting round to reviewing (sorry)

you can stumble in any of these fab restaurants and know you are going to gobble down every bit of food on your plate! follow that by a local brewed beer! yum yum. specialty stores galore for anything that is trending at the time!

Yaletown is lovely, but I strongly disagree with Sunscape tanning being a place to tan. they have MICE, the tanning booths are unclean, and the staff are incredibly rude. I don't know how this place was voted to be a great tanning salon! perhaps the lack of options in the area?

The diversity of central Vancouver is part of the appeal of this city. Yaletown is an interesting district with plenty of little shops and restaurants to explore. Worth walking through.

Yaletown boasts rows of restaurants and bars, you really can't go wrong with spending some time in this neighborhood. I suggest just walking through the streets and finding a place that suits your taste, wallet, and desires - there is plenty to choose from. Enjoy!

Our hotel, the Rosedale on Robson, was right on the edge of Yaletown and the front desk staff suggested taking a walk through the neighborhood. Glad we did - there are many good restaurants here as well as some shopping. This older urban area has been cleaned up and is now a very welcoming place. Walking through Yaletown is safe... More

Visually, Yaletown is very appealing. Historically, it is very interesting. Culturally, it's modern urbanism.
