This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios. « less

I absolutely love Yale Town, and often go for walks around there. If I could afford to live there, it would be my first choice. Everything is so new and trendy. So many good restaurants, not great if you're on a budget, like me though. Definitely worth a visit, just to see the really cool apartment buildings.

This old industrial area has been transformed in to chic little boutiques, restaurants, salons and hotels. Delightful place for a stroll, with a wide variety of shops, great selection of restaurants and coffee shops, and just interesting architecture, and parks to enjoy. There is even some theatre in the Round House. This area is easily accessible by the Canada Line.

The heart of Yaletown sits on the waterfront at the south end of Davie Street. The Canada Line Yaletown station is about 25 minutes from the Airport, and within easy walking distance from any downtown hotel. There are more than 20 excellent restaurants, and best of all, the Seawall. Take a 40 minute walk along the Seawall from the south... More

We walked and cycled through Yaletown which has quite a few apartment blocks surrounded by gardens and views of the water. The streets are treelined. There are some nice restaurants.

Yaletown managed to avoid most of the high rise apartments and has transformed an old warehouse district into eclectic bars and restaurants. A great place for lunch, especially The Flying Pig - great "steak sandwich" recreation.

Went through on a Sunday afternoon expecting lots of shops etc... not happening. Better places in town abound. This is evidently fine for eating but anything else... forget it.

We lived in the Yaletown area of Vancouver just as the area was growing and morphing into the cool, hip place to be, with restaurants, shops & boutiques. From Yaletown, there is easy access to the Seawall and of course, the Aquabus to Granville Island. It is a fantastic place to live and to visit. Why are we not still... More
