Visited in August 2009. We came on Monday and the place was overcrowded. My wife was not willing to fight her way through so she could not get to the displays. Did not see belugas because the line was too long. more

This is an excellent aquarium if you enjoy aquatic life. If you are expecting a theme park-like atmosphere you'll be sorely disappointed. My husband, mother, and I visited the Vancouver Aquarium in July 2009 on a Monday afternoon. We had thought a Monday might not be too crowded, but boy were we wrong. If you're looking for a day of Sea World like shows, you will be disappointed. But, this clean, friendly and well maintained multi-habitat facility is a great find. My wife and I went here from Seattle on our vacation because we heard it was supposed to be the best aquarium, wow it was bad not only it was crowded with the rudest kids in the world, but it was hot, small, and not interesting at all. i would stay away from this at all costs! more

The Vancouver Aquarium is a fantastic place to spend your afternoon. It is great place to take kids along, or to explore on your own. You will want to spend a few hours here, so be prepared for that.
