My wife and I went to this aquarium on a weekend trip to Vancouver in June, 09. We went on a Friday, expecting it to be slow, but were quite surprised as MANY schoolchildren were there on a field trip. If you're looking for a day of Sea World like shows, you will be disappointed. But, this clean, friendly and well maintained multi-habitat facility is a great find. The buluga whales (along with the new baby) are beautiful to see and so close. The local fish and other aquatic life and displayed in settings that do not cause crowding. We... more

My wife and I went here from Seattle on our vacation because we heard it was supposed to be the best aquarium, wow it was bad not only it was crowded with the rudest kids in the world, but it was hot, small, and not interesting at all. i would stay away from this at all costs! more

The Vancouver Aquarium is a fantastic place to spend your afternoon. It is great place to take kids along, or to explore on your own. You will want to spend a few hours here, so be prepared for that. Also, be sure to take note of the different shows that happen, and schedule where you explore based on the show... more

Not a cheap way to spend the day with the family (80.00 for my family of 5) but a thoroughly enjoyable day. If you really are interested in the subject matter, you'll get your money's worth, i.e. if you really look at the exhibits, read the signs, attend the tours/shows, etc. My 12 year old, who's fixated on biological and... more

It was a small aquarium but the exhibits were alright. They didn't have much tropical fish but they had local fish, they also had a jellyfish exhibit which was great. The dolphins weren't really out on the day we went, we didn't see them. The otters were cute and the belugas were the best! The baby beluga was VERY cute.... more
