An impressive and memorable piece of architecture. When you first step through the main doors you are greeted by light and and awed by the wall of glass that houses the library's formidable collections. One can relax in cool air conditioned comfort while reading, or check out any of the library's many programs and presentations. But the best kept secret... More

the vanouver Public library is a gem place to visit. the architecture is unique and by a leading architect. It does have a lot to see and do---public internet (free)- magazines, books, and music! they can provide downloadable books too. It is convenient in downtown near to transit, CBC and BC Place.

One of the finest libraries in the world. Our tour guide told us it was the tallest building in Vancouver because it had over a million stories. We just strolled through on our trip to Vancouver. It is a very impressive library. Lots of things to do besides check out books. I told my family I didn't like it though... More

The shape of this Library always make me to think about Rome. Sorry for the silly comment, but the architecture of the structure has something I associate with the Coliseum. It is a bit library with thounsand of titles available. Visitors can have some relax, checkin the books at the library, and for those which stay is going to be... More

Fascinating architecture, cheap eateries on first floor, nice place to wander around in. Visit special collections on top floor.

I work a block away and always enjoy visiting the library, not for the books, but for the architecture. It's the coolest looking building around. The only thing I wish is that there were better vendors on the ground floor. Some of those little restaurant kiosks are a bit sketchy.

Went to see the unusual architecture, The building reminds me of the ancient coliseum of ancient Greece. The library and grounds covers 1 city block. The building also has retail and food businesses on lower levels. Was a very busy place!

Design gave desks a view over the indoor courtyard as you study. Easy internet access and friendly staff.

The library reflects the newest atmosphere -- books, computers, magazines, and tables for conversation.
