Its usually crowded, pretty dirty by Vancouver standards, there are plenty of other beaches in the city that are far superior

Located at the Northern end of Stanley Park, this beach has a terrific view of this coast from West Vancouver and, behind, the Coast Mountains, across the water to Downtown's West End, The Burrard Bridge to the Kitsilano shores, the Planetarium and the Point Grey Peninsula at the head of which seats UBC. The beach is spacious and clean. Great place to swim safely. No rocks hurting your feet when you approach the water and take a dip!!

Decent beach. Food is available in a concession stand right up above the beach for reasonable prices. Lifeguards were on duty when we visited. The view is great, there was a bit of seaweed, but not too much. Swimming was nice in the August sun.

Take your rollerskates, a blanked and a pick pick! Skate around Stanley Park and spend the rest of the day at the beach. Sometimes it's pretty packed but in general a gret spot to chill. You can drive close to the beach if you want to do a party. Just walk down from the parking lot.

Most people don't know it's there, esp. the tourists... which is why I enjoy it it much. There is a restaurant up top and washrooms.

One of the best beaches in the city. Great views and only complaint as when the weather is good it is very crowded. Get here early in a summer weekend

Great water and mountain views, a playground, a nice beach, a pool, and a concession, all within beautiful Stanley Park. Not quite as crowded as English Bay or Kits Beach, but every bit as beautiful. Be sure to take a walk on the adjacent Seawall.

Beautiful beach in Stanley Park. A short walk from the downtown area along the Seawall brings you to this beach. You can also cycle or roller blade.

to the west of Stanley Park. A beautiful beach, edged by lots of stone "Inuk" sculptures. Simply stunning on a warm day, a place to chill out and have fun.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighborhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
