Totally surreal experience. I had seen whale watching expeditions on TV, but in person, it is something different. The crew and staff was extremely courteous and professional, and gave us a lot of time to take pictures. Sitting at the front is definitely something I recommend in order to get the information and right angle. Managed to see a humpback... More

Can not recommend this company enough. To see orca had been something that I had always wanted to do, so I couldn't pass up an opportunity! Unfortunately due to the weather we only made it just outside the bay before having to turn back due to the bad weather! I was pretty disappointed as I thought this could have been... More

It's not the cheapest day out in Vancouver, but I doubt there's a better one. For our money we got to spend more than six hours out in one of their boats and got to see two Orca pods and a humpback. The whales were definitely the highlight of the day but there were also eagles, seals, porpoises and other... More

The best experience of my life. We saw so many orcas, and even saw a harbour porpoise, Steller sea lions and harbour seals. I would do this every day if I could. The staff are excellent - very knowledgeable and kind. We had the back of the Pod Pilot to ourselves, which I think was the best place to be.... More

We did not see many whales but we did see a couple of humpbacks. Both the guide and the pilot were enthusiastic! We sat in the back which was a tad more protected on a cold, foggy day but the guide made a special point of keeping us informed. Do take your lunch as it is a long day out... More

This is an activity for anybody! My family and I went on a trip with Wild Whales Vancouver and couldn't have enjoyed the trip any more than we did! I cannot express how wonderful the staff truly was! My mother and grandmother are handicapped and our lovely guide helped us immensely without any complaint. Our guide was definitely passionate about... More

I had originally booked a tour with Wild Whales Vancouver following a business trip. I was deeply disappointed to get a call the day before the tour saying there were mechanical issues on the boat and our tour was cancelled. When I mentioned to the employee how my friend and I extended our stay in Vancouver for this purpose, she... More

Our trip was amazing! We saw orcas, sea lions and seals. The staff was very helpful, nice and very knowable. As we had our two young children with us (6 months and 20 months at the time) I was very concerned about safety. They had many things set up to ease my fears. They had us go out in the... More

Fortunately, it was sunny and dry. Very chilly, though. We all had to wear anti-exposure suits. Spent about 6 hours in the boat. Saw many orcas, some sea lions, some seals, bald eagles and harbor porpoises. Beautiful scenery too. The level of service was excellent. Rodrigo was our captain and did a stellar job of getting us to places where... More

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
