I researched several whale watching companies and chose this one. I was not disappointed. This trip can be an all day trip as ours was. Some of the other companies have several departure times and since this one only leaves once we had the whole day to explore and see wild life. The tour guide and the captain of the... More

I had such an unbelievably amazing experience on this trip - in fact, I'm surprised that I've taken so long to write about it. I went with my friend when visiting Vancouver in October. I've seen whales and sea lions on documentaries and always wondered how it would be to see them in real life. Nothing could prepare me for... More

My wife and I took this trip in early September. It was such a beautiful day, brilliant sunshine and just a light breeze. It was a two hour trip to get to the group of islands at the south end of Vancouver Island, but even this part of the day was wonderful. There were hundreds of fishing boats as the... More

We spent seven hours on the sea, seen a small humpback, a pod of orcas, and the sea lion island. The humpback was a bit evasive, but the rest was epic. I will never forget the sight orcas surfacing in the wide empty sea, sparkling in the sunlight, exhaling with the sound resembling a distant bellow, and the funny gigantic... More

Thanks for the awesome review! I remember that day and it was pretty incredible! It's such a treat to see that many killer whales in such an intimate group with flat calm conditions like that. I'm really glad you enjoyed the experience and we hope to see you again. Thanks! More

Went out to get a look at some killer whales with this tour group, with my husband and our two small children. I'll start with the pros: The crew, Catherine and Greg knew their stuff about everything whale related. I don't think they were ever stumped when asked a question about why they do this, or how long do they... More

Thanks for the great review! Kathryn and myself take great pride in what we do and love sharing our passion and knowledge with our passengers. I'm really glad you enjoyed that aspect. Like you mentioned, the whales are always moving so sometimes the trips can be a bit longer. We are sorry we didn't mention the headphones when you made... More

This trip consisted of spending hours on a boat and eventually spending 20 minutes watching some killer whale fins occasionally appearing out of the water. I specifically asked before booking whether or not I would see a lot of exciting whale activity. What a dreadfully disappointing experience and waste of money. Yet another Vancouver rip-off! $145 down the drain!

Hi Mark, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm not sure what trip you were out on but we always spend an hour with the animals although sometimes it feels like 20 minutes. It's important to keep in mind that these are not trained animals and their behaviour can not be predicted. We get to see them... More

My wife and I had the most marvellous day with Wild Whales not only did they show us orca, humpbacks and porpoises, they are so knowledgeable about all marine wildlife. There was never any time during the day when they stopped looking for whales and making our day GREAT

We enjoyed our 16th wedding anniversary by taking this whale excursion. A fantastic way to see the BC coastline, Gulf Islands, and marine life. Natalie our guide and pilot Gary took our group well into the USA San Juan Islands to see a couple of Orca pods. We were suited up in anti-explosure outfits then off exploring. The only way... More
