We were very excited to go whale watching, and booked this trip since the boat seemed to have fewer people than many others...but the boat is kind of old, and as we marched out to the boat it became apparent there would be a scramble for seats. Why not assign seats as people register or book and avoid the mayhem?... More

This was a great day for my Family - Parents, my wife and me and our two children (7+9). We have seen a lot of Orcas, also including Seelions, Eagles and a Deer. Our guide Hillary has explain a lot of interesting Details about Vancouvers wildlife. Unfortunately, everything was only in in English and my familymembers could not understand everything... More

My cousin and I went whale watching and were so lucky to be lead with the amazing team of Roman and Hillary. We were able to see a gorgeous pod of orcas, baby seals, and two bald eagles - it was truly an experience of a lifetime. Unfortunately, we hit very turbulent waters on the way out of Vancouver with... More

What a wonderful day, beginning with a perfect weather, sunny with some clouds, and perfect temperature!! And then enjoying the Orcas from the 3 residents pods, playing around and giving me amazing memories to treasure for the rest of my life!! But not only the Orcas were there, also plenty of cute seals, and even a Sea Lion and a... More

We had a great day of whale watching! The "anti-exposure suits" seemed a little ridiculous to start with, but as soon as we started moving I was very grateful to have one on. Our naturalist (guide), Ashley, was super-excited to tell us everything she could about the beautiful whales we saw. Captain Rodrigo was excellent at keeping up with the... More

Thanks so much! People always look at us like we are crazy when we want to put them in the anti exposure suits haha but as you mentioned, they are quite necessary when you're out there. Ashley and Rodrigo wanted to pass on their thanks for your kind words. We hope to see you again! More

This was a great day out, with about six hours on the water, crossing the Strait of Georgia to the Gulf Islands. We enjoyed close encounters with two Hump-backed Whales and a pod of Orcas (including one small calf). Access to the Granville Island starting point is easy from downtown Vancouver, and enough stalls were open at the market to... More

Awesome review! Thank you! That's a great picture too. Looks like you guys had the transient killer whale family known as the T65A's. It's nice to hear you say to go more than once even if it is not with us as each trip is SO different. I have been doing this for almost ten years and everyday is still... More

We recently visited Vancouver and booked our Whale tour in advance. We took a taxi and arrived at Granville Island to learn that our tour was overbooked. We were offered 50% off as an incentive to take the tour the following day. We agreed - this was a big mistake as they cancelled our tour due to 'gale force winds'... More

I'm so sorry that happened to you but I assure you we were not overbooked on the following day. People often are confused when we cancel due to weather because it's usually sunny and hot. Unfortunately, hot weather brings in strong winds and can make the conditions on the water unsafe. I do thank you for switching to the following... More

The tour was great. We went on an open air boat which I definitely recommend, but we got stuck at the back of the boat so could not hear anything the guide said. I wish she would have come back more and tell us half of what she was saying to the front of the boat. We did talk to... More

Thanks for the great review! Sorry you didn't get more attention from the guide and couldn't hear what she was saying but I'm really glad you enjoyed the whales. We have the speakers shut off at the back to give people an area of privacy but we will look into turning those back on. Thanks for taking the time to... More

I went on a whale watching tour last week with Wild Whales. At the beginning we all had our eyes peeled watching for whales but it soon became apparent that we were not going to find them easily. We saw lots of seals, and bald eagles, but no whales. Then the call came in that there was a pod of... More

Thanks so much for the great review! That's a perfect example of how our longer trips can be beneficial. Staying out there longer gives us a much better chance of seeing the most amount of wildlife. Our guides are always improving their knowledge of the whales and are getting pretty good at recognizing individuals. I'm really happy you enjoyed the... More

Wild Whales are situated on Granville Island and therefore a convenient location for people staying in Vancouver. During the trip we did see 2 humpback whales together, I x transient Orca and a large pod of resident Orca ( plus a very large US submarine ). However, I did book our trip on-line prior to leaving France for a tour... More

Thanks for your review! The triple header! Humpbacks, transients and residents! This has been one of our busiest seasons ever so we are filling up days in advance. Unfortunately, if there is a weather cancellation, we are unable to accommodate our cancelled guests for the next few days. I'm sorry you didn't get the boat you requested but glad you... More
