Excellent place for beginning surfers to get the hang of the sport. Miles of sandy beach. Absolute paradise!

Very close to our hotel, we could walk there. Our dog was able to run free and it is so big you do not feel crowded even with people around.

If you are staying close-by then this is a wonderful and easy access beach for a stroll and taking in the atmosphere of the Long Beach region without having to drive into the park and pay the hefty parking fee. Check-out the beach side cottages and holiday homes ranging from rustic to very fancy.

The wide expanse of sand, the surfers, the views, the waves crashing and rolling. Not a crowded beach at all.

Grabbed a fish taco at the nearby Tacofino and headed for Chesterman Beach. Enjoyed a beautiful walk along the entire length of the beach stopping to observe the surfers. This appeared to be a dog friendly beach. Beach access is across the street from the parking lot which does have public restrooms and outdoor area to wash off surf gear.

We loved walking Chesterman Beach including a trek out to Frank Island at low tide with leaves chasing us up onto the rocks. Great fun with lots of sand dollars found during our time in this beach. Sandy and a great length for walking for hours. We will go back to this beach again as it was truly a highlight... More

Come for the Storms, find relaxation, West Coast Vistas, and some of the best beachcombing in Canada. Well worth the time to visit this natural gem in Canada's natural crown.

This beach is stunning, a great spot to go for a walk and at low tide you can wander out to Frank Island. Definitely recommend!

our dogs loved coming on this walk and preferred to pacific rim (long beach) area because other walkers with dogs are responsible and considerate here.
