This is a medium sized (for Tofino comparing to Long Beach) beach of lovely sand and fabulous ocean. It is a beginner spot for surfers so great entertainment in that area. A fabulous spit in the middle to take you out to Frank Island, mostly private for rentals (two of them) but still a great walk for beachcombing. Our dog... More

This beach was just steps from our B&B and it's a great place to walk or bike up and down. We also did our surf lesson there through Live To Surf. A great place to picnic or get some good exercises.

Chesterman's is a favourite of locals and we see why. Taking the Wickaninnish turnoff, there is a community parking lot and beach access. Next to the Wick is Henry's Corner, a carving shed with local art and lots of stories. Right in front of Henry's are a number of rocks with tide pools and sea life that you can see... More

Great beach for surfing - the constantly changing weather in Tofino meant we surfed all afternoon in the mist and as we hosed off the salt water the sun came out and it was absolutely glorious! Spent the evening there with a picnic and had a campfire when the sun finally went down around 9pm - superb day!

We went in early September and it was beautiful. The beach was clean and quiet and the sand was amazing - rare for Canadian beaches. Lots of off leash dogs but doesn't bother us. A couple locals were surfing but it was early evening when we went so I imagine most surfers were done for the day. It really was... More

We were not there for big waves but still a lot of interesting activities on the beach from surfing to beachcombing to just plain walking. Very scenic. Lots of low tide sights with stars and mollusks. A couple of eagles are regular visitors to the trees near the Wick hotel.

The nicest Canadian beach I have ever seen. As you walk out on the point you can see the water on either side. The wind picks up in the afternoon, so is great for surfing.

Wear a sweater, long pants, windbreaker and bring a beach towel. Its deceptively cold with the wind blowing in!

We went there on a cloudy day. As a result, the beach was not cloudy. The parking lots on both the North and South ends are big but not the one in the middle where Frank Island located. It was a pleasant walk along the beach.

If you are on the west coast of vancouver island, you need to spend some time here. This beach has white sands, waves, and some of the best views I've ever seen. The beach is perfect to walk along and there is so much sea life to observe in and out of the water. A must if you are visiting... More
