The Wild Side Trail contains most of the nicest beaches I have ever seen on Vancouver Island, and the best part is you rarely see another soul while hiking them. Very easy trail to hike. If you plan it right, with low tides on your side, you can skip some of the trail and get to Cow Bay quite a... More

Stopped by here on our way to Tofino and loved the walk along the coast. Snapped up many beautiful pictures. The trail is not difficult but there are some incline/decline in spaces but I would say it would be suitable for most.

Black bears foraging on the shore, Bald eagles, sea otters, orcas, seals and sea lions , wolf and cougar prints on the beach. A spectacular look at the unspoiled land and sea

If you love hiking, this trail is definetely worth hiking. We took the 10:30 boat from Tofino to Flores and stayed at the Aauuknuk lodge. After registration and drop of some lugguge at the lodge, we start hiking at 13:00. great hike, partly boardwalk and lots of beaches. The last part (to the bridge and after the brigde) is more... I whole heartedly recommend visiting Ahousaht's Wild Side Trail. The views are completely stunning. The trail is well-maintain and well marked. We took 2 nights to do the hike at a very leisurely pace. I would recommend making sure that no reserve dogs follow you out on the trail - they are very friendly and they will come the whole... A couple of weeks ago my husband and I did the Lighthouse section of this trail. It was a beautiful trail with plenty of spectacular views of the ocean. It is so well maintained with lots of places to sit down and have a break or to take a photo. Saw many bald eagles. Worth a visit while in this... More

We arrived via ocean kayaks to the Wild Side Trail from Whitesands beach July 3 and 4 2014 on Flores Island in Clayquot Sound BC Canada. Unfortunately the ocean surf was too rough to land our kayaks at Cow Bay so we walked there. The trail is beach and board walked. Pit toilets are available at Whitesands, 3rd Beach and... More

Easy enoigh for our 8 yr old and interesting enough for 2 seasoned hikers. Coastal cliffs, rainforest, and everything in between. Worth 1-4 hours - you can set your distance and pace.... just be sure to get out there!

There's no lack of trails to walk in Tofino and this is another one of those fine trails to go for a leisurely stroll and enjoy Nature and the scenery around you. Well worth the time if you like to hike.

Hi - I wonder if some of the reviewers are confusing these very different trails? The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet about a half an hour from Tofino. It is short, easy, and offers stunning views.... a great place to bring a camera and enjoy a stroll. The Wild Side Trail is accessed with a 40 minute water... More
