We often stop at small independent artist studio places while travelling and love art glass. The art glass in this particular shop was not to our taste. The specialty seemed to be the face masks as seen in the other traveler's picture. We found them kind of creepy but if you like the one in the picture then stop and... More

Not sure what everyone's problem is with this place, but I liked it! Its cute and quaint. I love the uniqueness of the earrings and appreciate how he incorporates sand from the beach in his pieces- definitely original. I didn't think he stared or was rude in any way, in fact he was very helpful in offering suggestions of places... More

Kevin helped me with my problem of infection of my ears when I wear earrings. I have had this problem for decades. Kevin was able to supply me with Niobium earrings which do not cause this problem. If you have this problem, go see Kevin and he will likely be able to help you !!!! also he will be able... More

Just a small shop with nothing special. I've found the reviews for this place quite interesting! It is apparent from the negative reviews that this shopkeeper has no customer service skills. I have also noticed that the majority of the five-star reviews here have the same style of writing which make me believe they've been posted by the shopkeeper and... More

I find it funny that you only give negative reviews of things not to your personal taste and at this time have no positive reviews from your travels. I preface the description of my studio as a place for people who love glass. Many people do love my glass. My guess is that you don't love glass and didn't want... More

We stopped in at the shop and were blown away by the artistry that Kevin had on display. We purchased two pendants and have been wearing them ever since. For one of a kind pieces of art, stop by the shop. There is something for every taste.

I had an incredibly unpleasant experience this week while browsing in Tofino Art Glass. My husband and I wandered in here while browsing the shops in Tofino with 2 friends. The four of us looked around a bit while the shop owner sat in the back watching us and chatting a bit. He asked where we were from (the US)... More

I now have a huge notice stating if you try them on you've bought them. Everyone is incredulous that anyone would want to try on earrings and laughs at the thought. They also question that there are places in the world where you can try them on. More

This man gave my friend and I the creeps. He leered at us the whole time. The place looks promising from the outside (rustic and cute) but his work is really nothing worth buying. There were a few people in the store with us and nobody left with anything. I'd say there are other places on the island to spend... More

This is not an 'Art Gallery' or 'Art Studio'. It is a tiny shop that sells glasswork, mostly old-fashioned jewelry….mediocre items sold by street vendors or in flea markets for much cheaper prices. I don't know why such a shop even exists on Tripadvisor as an attraction! If all ordinary shops like this had posted themselves on Tripadvisor, visitors would... More

Perhaps you feel that way because in the modern way of shopping you have zero impersonal interactions and are used to big box stores. Rarely do you speak with a maker you are about to purchase from. You missed looking closely at my handmade items and appreciating their beauty. It was your choice not to have spoken with me. More

I stopped by Kevin's studio and was very happy that I did so. Yes it is crammed...yes he can talk a lot...but he is an artist...it is his working studio...so what? These are the type of little places that I seek to find out when vacationing. And perhaps his art is not for some...but hey, that is what art is.... More

Went with my family here as my mom desperately wanted to go, given then it's rated in the top 20 things to do in Tofino...however, when we got here we were shocked. I guess with art everyone has a differently opinion--to each their own, in my opinion this art shop was incredibly small, disastrously messy, and tacky! Clearly other people... More

My working studio is small, although there are even smaller artist studios in Tofino. I always have glass work on the go. You could have easily gone next door to my neighbour's pottery studio if I was too crowded for you and then returned when the crowd had thinned. Or, you could have gone further down the road to Tonquin... More
